What you will do
This position is responsible for managing current and future commercial unitary products and controls
How you will do it
Manages all aspects of the product lifecycle; from conception through obsolescence including the creation of product specifications, the marketing launch of new products and the phase-out of obsolete products.
Coordinates program planning with sales & marketing, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, etc. to ensure identification of appropriate manufacturing schedules, goals, design criteria, costs, and similar considerations.
Identifies market potential by working with sales and distribution including independent distributors and factory branches to establish project price and volume targets.
Works with pricing to "aid" in the establishment of successful pricing strategies including the creation and maintenance of the equipment and accessory price pages.
Works with product marketing to develop promotional activities, publicizing the product through the press, sales force and alternate distribution channels.
Works with engineering to maintain AHRI / GAMA listings in addition to other regulatory agencies for individual state and government programs such as Energy Star and DOE.
Supports the field sales organization by creating and presenting product presentations, technical sales software, competitive comparisons, payback calculators, etc.
Manages the creation of the technical literature process which includes the creation of installation manuals, technical guides, submittals, etc. as well as maintains the web sites to which the documents are posted.
What we look for
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical field (will consider relevant experience in lieu of a technical Bachelor's degree).
A minimum of five years experience in the HVAC industry
Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including Excel and MS Project
Strong interpersonal skills and decision making ability
Effective and professional presentation, communication and organization skills.
