Manage existing portfolio along with portfolio management responsibilities of an assigned Commercial Lender with an emphasis on customer service and risk management. Expand revenue growth through generation of loans, deposits, cross-selling all applicable bank services to existing customer base. Demonstrate and implement our Trusted Advisor strategy to all internal and external customers.


  • Complete the documentation required for the loan approval packages, review status of existing loans and take appropriate action on loans that are mature or past due.

  • Monitor annual review report for due dates and complete the annual review package.

  • Complete all watch list and action plan reports in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate the completion of the cash flow analysis and risk analysis with the credit department, when necessary.

  • Provide appropriate reports and documents to the assigned commercial lender to authorize prior to submitting the loan for approval or review.

  • Monitor the financial statement and documentation exception report and coordinate with the lender who is responsible for clearing the exception and maintain exception percentages below the bank's targets.

  • Outline loan terms and condition and inform the borrower of loan commitments.

  • Provide high level customer service support to expand lending opportunities.

  • Recognize product and financial service opportunities and refer to appropriate partners in Retail, Commercial Wealth Management, Private Banking and First Insurance Group.

  • Ensure compliance with loan policy and procedures.

  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Demonstrate solid commercial lending knowledge and implement our Trusted Advisor strategy to all internal and external customers. Duties and Responsibilities: * Meet personal performance expectations for loans, deposits and fees and carry a significant loan balance. * Expectation of a higher level of annual production. * Utilize lending experience and knowledge to be self-sufficient in developing loan and banking opportunities and expanding existing relationships. * Retain and expand all assigned banking office loan relationships. * Create a collaborative relationship with support departments, including but not limited to credit, loan processing and retail. * Serve as a leader by example and center of influence within the market served. * Be a mentor to other lenders, provide assistance when needed. * Assist borrowers by making appropriate recommendations concerning financing options and financial decisions. * Meet individual performance expectations for loans, deposits and fees, while managing their own book of business. * Maintain compliance with loan policy, procedures and documentation, including loan package preparation, while properly structuring, underwriting and pricing. * Screen loan requests based on financial institution policies and on types of loans offered by the bank. * Provide on-going service to existing clients and branch personnel regarding loan questions and issues. * Monitor collateral and credit exceptions. * Monitor and handle delinquency and collection issues and watch lists. * Assist in the origination of new deposit accounts and Treasury Management services. * Produce quality referrals through regular calls on prospective and existing customers as well as referral sources. * Ensure annual loan reviews are completed in a timely manner. * Produce quality referrals through regular calls on existing and prospective customers as well as referral sources. * Be proficient as a lender in sales, credit, and portfolio management. Compile and analyze data for loan requests. * Complete other duties as assigned. Education, Certification, License and Experience: * High school graduate or equivalent. * Bachelor's degree in business or finance, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. * Seven years of commercial lending experience, two years of credit analysis experience preferred and two years of supervisory experience. Skills and Knowledge: * Strong interpersonal, presentation, leadership and supervisory skills; including negotiation skills. * Excellent verbal and written communications skills. * Sales and goal-oriented personality, with high degree of professionalism. * Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills. * Complete knowledge of the commercial products and services and familiarity will all company products and services. * Extensive knowledge of commercial lending laws, and practices. * Sales management experience * Responsible for knowing and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies that include but are not limited to Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering rules, Fair Lending, Community Reinvestment Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and other laws and regulations as they pertain to the position. Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment.
