GENERAL FUNCTION: Provide support to relationship managers, with portfolios that have very complex degrees of difficulty.

Daily duties consist of underwriting and monitoring credit, existing and proposed credit requests, providinghighlevelcustomerservice support, and performing special projects for the department manager, Team Lead, SCO or CO. Prepares documentation required for the processing of loans, reviews status of existing loans, takes appropriate action on loans thataremature orpastdue, and assists relationship managers in loan closings.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensuresthatactions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank#s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

.Supports the Department Manager, Team Leader, Relationship Managers, SCO's and CO's in their credit underwriting efforts including industry and company research, approval document preparation, including accompanying the Relationship Managersoncustomerandprospect calls, and various other customer oriented projects.

.Completes all requirements of loan bookings, to include all preparation, review, documentation and filing.

.Develops a working knowledge of all customers, businesses, and prospect opportunities.

.Responsible for all loan document preparation, including third party document coordination, completion and review.

.Collects and reviews all required collateral information.

.Reviews current account status, to include but not limited to, Past Due accounts and Notes Matured. Makes appropriate recommendations for these accounts.

.Supports the Relationship Manager in monitoring on an on-going basis information concerning customer performance, abilities, and industry to determine that loan is an acceptable risk. This will consist of but not be limited tostatement,covenantandinsurance tracking, Risk Rating updates, and Admin Loan Status Report updated and other Credit Excellence items.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

This position can sit in the following locations Detroit, Charlotte, Nashville or Chicago

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

.Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics preferred. 5+ years of credit analysis and/or loan review experience, preferably in the banking industry. Or an advanced business degree with 5+ years of business related experience.

.Must be proficient in basic software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Moody's Risk Analyst.

.Proficiency with the Bank's internal applications is a plus.

.Ability to work in a deadline driven environment and multi-task.

.WORKING CONDITIONS:

.Normal office environment.

.Extended viewing of computer screens.

.Travel required.

Interacts with clients to understand their current performance and proactively identify potential risks at the account and portfolio level. Directly accountable for managing a portfolio of accounts through their review of updatedfinancialstatements, proactive monitoring and interaction with Credit Officer, Relationship Team as well as Clients. The PM IV will interact with internal and external clients in an effort to proactively understand their goals, their currentperformance, andtheir needs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: .Undertake analysis of industries and relevant peer groups within them to determine key industry drivers and how these affect individual market participants. Such analysis to be factored into client specific or industry wide credit reports. .Managing the credit transactions process; from the approval process and communicating with various involved groups (e.g. different product groups on a complex transaction) through to arranging for processing of details and changes into the bank'sowninternal systems. .Preparation, review and negotiation of documentation related to transactions, such as loan documents, guarantees, and security documents. .Participation in the structuring of credit transactions, including negotiations with potential and existing clients. .Evaluation, booking and management of collateral relating to loans, etc. .Monitoring the ongoing business activities and financial performance of existing clients, including financial covenant monitoring. .Implementation of risk management and compliance procedures in accordance with Bank requirements and corporate policies. .Contribute to development of the bank's credit evaluation methodology. .Maintain appropriate client records and an archive of the bank's industry wide and client specific credit work. .Deals with large credit exposures, most complex loans, difficult foreign exchange, interest rate and commodity derivatives. .Following credit policy, structures and underwrites commercial loans or makes a recommendation to the appropriate level of credit administration. .Services portfolio and prospective customers. .Manages commercial portfolio risk on an ongoing basis by monitoring customer credit-worthiness, adherence to loan terms and general business conditions. .Responsibility for approval within designated authorities. .Execute problem deal action plans .Active and visible syndication/club deal role. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: May have supervisory responsibilities including mentor/teach junior PM's.
