An exciting opportunity exists for a Commercial Officer (Account Management) to work in the Customer Team Americas Customer Service Centre, within Civil Aerospace. You will be responsible for the contractual and commercial relationships with a number of our airline customers in the North and South Americas region, but will be based in Reston, Virginia.
The team is a fully integrated cross functional community of Sales, Commercial, Marketing, Customer Services and Engineering professionals, responsible for all facets of the Rolls-Royce airline customer experience, from sales to through life service delivery for all Rolls-Royce airline customers located in the Americas.
As the Commercial Officer, your key accountabilities will include:
Building, managing and maintaining an effective commercial relationship with allocated airline customers
Acting as the Commercial lead for allocated customer accounts to provide efficient and timely account management services
Management of contracted commitments,
Commercial Entry Into Service readiness,
Contract interpretation and amendments to contracts
Manages the resolution of customer issues, claims and disputes to minimise cost and risk to the company and to shape innovative financial and business solutions, draft, negotiate and agree associated commercial settlements and/or contractual amendments as necessary
Identifies and assess potential risks and liabilities inherent in contracts and to propose and negotiate amendments to manage and mitigate such risks or liabilities whilst achieving expected financial returns
Manages profit, cash and debt relating to specific contracts to ensure that financial targets are achieved and to provide timely and accurate inputs into the financial forecasting process
Responsible for completing business approvals in accordance with applicable business policies and procedures
Responsible for leading LEAN continuous improvement projects to drive efficiency in ways of working
Oversees and supports customer visits as required
Ability to travel up to 25%, regionally and internationally

Bachelor's degree or Master's degree
Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident to be considered or this opportunity
