Commercial Mechanical Estimator- Mechanical Servicing Company- Base Salary to 130k/year- Pittsburgh, PA

• Our client is a stable, nearly 100-year-old mechanical servicing company with a team of 100 employees. They work on commercial mechanical projects ranging from 1MM to 6MM, including everything from underground plumbing to rooftop HVAC units. Projects include hospitals, government buildings, manufacturing sites, data centers, retail stores, and industrial sites.
• They are currently seeking a Commercial Mechanical Estimator to join their team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a company renowned for its mechanical construction excellence in the Tri-State area (West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio).

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed estimates and proposals for various commercial HVAC and commercial plumbing projects.
• Evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing for compliance with project specifications and drawings.
• Attend pre-bid site meetings, verify site conditions, and interface with owners, developers, and general contractors.
• Maintain electronic records of all working documents and data to back up estimates and proposals.
• Assist in organizing and prioritizing work in conjunction with the Business Development Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC and plumbing estimating.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience managing the bid preparation and formal written proposal process.
• Familiarity with sheet metal, hydronic piping, plumbing, and refrigeration.
• Understanding of mechanical construction coordination with other building trades (architectural/structural, etc.).

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 100k – 130k/year range
