Mission:
The Commercial Marketing Manager develops the commercial marketing strategies and product commercialization plans of CenTrak's products and services through active and frequent partnership and communication with Product Management, Sales, and other functional teams. This role owns voice of customer and market research for the company and interfaces with customers regularly to collect feedback to improve current products and influence the development of new products. This role tracks and analyzes market trends to identify product opportunities and how CenTrak's solutions meet the ever-changing needs of customers. The Commercial Marketing Manager is responsible for managing product launches and cross-functional launch teams, creating marketing campaigns for demand generation, and driving the marketing content and event strategy to attract, education, and convert potential buyers (blogs, videos, case studies, trade shows, webinars, etc.) This individual is also responsible for developing and evaluating post-launch metrics for new product development projects and business cases/financial assessments in support of sales strategies and programs.
Primary Objectives of the Role:
Develop go-to-market plans, positioning, and messaging for new products and services
Lead the launch and promotion of all new products
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designated portfolio in support of all commercial efforts
Provide VOC inputs/support for the Strategy, Upstream, & R&D teams
Partner effectively with cross-functional and commercial teams (e.g. Training, Sales, Field Service, Clinical, Product Management, Finance, etc.)
Identify, analyze, and monitor key competitors and market trends
Formalize Center of Excellence/Reference sites strategies
Support development and management of Advisory Councils
Develop marketing/sales campaigns for demand generation
Work with Finance, Product Management, and analytics teams to protect price/margin
Create a close, trusted, and accountable partnership with the Sales teams
Responsibilities:
o SME and 1st line of sales support for product and industry related questions as it relates to CenTrak's products and services
o Work directly with customers and supports the sales team when needed on large scale projects
o Drive content for webinars, press releases, and other customer facing content
o Develop strategic sales programs and campaigns that enable CenTrak to achieve business objectives
o Develop and execute product launch plans, positioning, and messaging for new products and services
o Create, track, and report post-launch metrics and performance against business goals
o Develop sales tools and other collateral in combination with marketing colleagues
o Identify and communicate unmet customer needs for insight into new products
o Lead go-to-market strategies and plans
o Identify market trends, risks, and opportunities
o Actively monitor unit sales, ASP, and margins against forecast and recommend corrective action as needed
o Identify needs for research and work with Product Management and/or Marketing Communications to design studies or acquire research reports
o Determine clinical study needs to support the business and work with Clinical team to determine strategy for gaining the study data
o Understand competition and create competitive comparisons and battlecards
o Partner with marketing communications on tradeshow management
o Work with applicable societies and KOLs and manage customer advisory council
o Create and manage reference sites and centers of excellence
Qualifications:
o Strong influence management and ability to gain consensus and commitment
o Familiarity with multiple channels of distribution in worldwide markets
o Experience in RTLS preferred (e.g. asset management, staff duress, infant security, environmental monitoring, safety solutions, clinical workflows)
o Must work effectively with senior-level executives, cross-functional peers, and leaders and staff of affiliated institutions and enterprises.
o Must have strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals.
o The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
