SBM Offshore is currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager Floating Production Units (FPU)
As Commercial Manager, you will lead the Business Acquisition activities for prospects within the FPU Product Line. Your objective and responsibility is to win the tender, by developing and implementing strategies, delivering optimized technical/commercial proposals and working with the team to negotiate the agreement with the Client and Partners.
1.In order to win a tender, you will be expected to:
Organize and coordinate the overall effort for the Tender and oversee the Tender team
Update the Capture Plan and develop the Tender Plan for a specific prospect
Ensure that WIN strategy is understood by all, as originally defined by the Product Line and Business Development team.
Translate WIN strategy into tangible actions and cascade across the Tender team
Define the mandate and proactively seek its approval
Manage stakeholders to ensure they make timely and informed decisions
Maintain trustful relationships with Partners and ensure they execute approvals in a timely manner
Ensure the proposal is in line with the contractual framework and strategy
Define the negotiation strategy, tactical plans and lead the negotiation process with the Client
Have an in-depth knowledge of all SBM Offshore rules and policies to conduct business ethically
Ensure an understanding of the Gulf of Mexico market positioning, SBM Offshore strengths and weaknesses versus competition
Act as delegate to the Business Acquisition Director when required

To win the Tender
Tender budgets are adhered to
Adherence to the tender process and gate documents are approved in a timely manner
Business Acquisition Director/ Product Line Director's confidence in stakeholder contribution and offer delivery
Partner's satisfaction (feedback/assessment)
2.In order to ensure Client satisfaction during the Win phase, you will be expected to:
Be responsible for effective communication and negotiation with the Client, by building and maintaining strong relationships, from Business Development handover to Execution handover
Be responsible to understand, manage and meet Client expectations throughout the prospect, by identifying the Client drivers and challenges
The measure of your effectiveness will be:
Client Satisfaction via Surveys
Success rate (ratio of wins versus losses)
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required. At least 15 years' experience in offshore Gulf of Mexico region is also required. Experience in planning and developing proposals, valued at least at $100M+ with a background in estimating & contracts.
A strategic mindset, network building skills and instills trust are required soft skills.
Candidates must know the offshore industry within the Gulf of Mexico market and have technical offshore project execution experience.
