Responsible for boarding, maintenance transactions, monetary transactions, collateral and insurance tracking, escrow processing, GL balancing and wire verifications on credit facilities within the loan accounting system. Responsible for monitoring, research, analysis and resolution of loan system entries. Performs all duties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs personnel actions including performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and interviewing candidates for employment; supervises the daily activities of the team including, but not limited to, effective delegation of assignments, developing work schedules and providing necessary training.
Manages the boarding process; resolves issues and discrepancies independently and responds to a variety of inquires or problems in a timely manner.
Prepares general ledger closing entries and reconciles all departmental general ledger accounts.
Oversees all processing functions including exception processing, data input, word processing and operation of specialized software programs and spreadsheets.
Manages the integrity of data entered into the system of record within departmental guidelines to mitigate operational risk.
Performs research, analysis and resolution of various accounting entries, issues and variances.
Follows set departmental procedures to receive satisfactory audit. Include audit considerations when assisting in the development of procedures and new tasks within functional area.
Provides backup and assistance to internal and external auditors, as necessary.
Interacts with internal and/or external customers handling all concerns and inquiries.

Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Fair Housing Act (FHA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Information Program (CIP), Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA, state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)
Advanced experience, knowledge and training in progressively responsible lending department operations, management and supervisory activities
Advanced knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations governing lending including but not limited to fair lending, privacy, RESPA as well as company operational policies and procedures, and the company's products and services.
Must have in-depth knowledge of overall department operational procedures and a thorough knowledge of all related computer systems and specification set up
Advanced skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; word processing, spreadsheet and specialty software programs
Intermediate typing skills to meet production needs of the position
Intermediate math skills; calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs
Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures
Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate and explore alternative solutions
Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the immediate work unit
Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule and the work schedules of others on a short-term and long-term basis

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:
High School Diploma and a minimum of 10 years' experience and/or training. Work related experience should consist of experience underwriting FHA, VA and Conventional Loans, Commercial Loans.
Bachelor's degree preferred
