We're seeking a driven and customer-focused Loan Officer to join our Agribusiness Loan Team! In this role, you'll examine, evaluate, and authorize or recommend approval of customer applications for commercial loans, primarily agribusiness related. Responsibilities Include

  • Interview applicant and requests specified information for loan application

  • Request applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and other information pertinent to loan applicants' evaluation

  • Analyze applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan or submit application to credit analyst for verification and recommendation

  • Correspond with or interview applicant or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information

  • Compile loan package and facilitate negotiation of loan structure with applicant, including fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms

  • Approve loan within specified limits or refer loan to loan committee for approval

  • Ensure loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy

  • Assure timely loan closing and funding activities

  • Identify and analyze potential loan markets to develop prospects for commercial loans

  • Advise loan manager of external factors that may affect organization's lending policies, such as new or revised legislation and regulations; recommend and implement appropriate changes to Bank policies and procedures

  • Promote and cross-sell other Bank products and services as appropriate to customer requirements

  • Provide loan data to support marketing and sales promotion programs

  • Active involvement in community organizations and activities, including those related to agriculture

Qualifications

  • Four-year college or university program certificate; or

  • Seven to ten years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Foundation in finance and intermediate accounting a plus

Pay Range (Salary): $120,000 - $145,000/year
