Note: Position reports to a physical office; not a remote position

The position of the loan officer is responsible for developing business, sales, and revenue growth for Propel Real Estate Capital. They will need to solicit, negotiate, underwrite and coordinate the closing of existing customers and new customers. Work hand in hand with property tax lenders to cross sell property tax loan products. Demonstrate high level of performance, motivation, high ethical standards, professionalism, and integrity. Strong knowledge of personal and business financial statements and income related documents. Stay abreast of general market and underwriting guideline changes to discuss and educate the customer on market industry in an informed fashion to clients and sales accounts. The loan officer may occasionally work on weekends and after hours during high call volume months.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively seeks and promotes new commercial loans
  • Maintains and services sales contacts while focusing on company generated leads
  • Manage existing customer base portfolio to cross sell new commercial products
  • Initiate discussions with owners at the time when they need financing; qualify and follow through on opportunities to agree to loan terms.
  • Be familiar with all types of collateral, method or means used to secure commercial loans
  • Analyze personal and business financial statements and income related documents
  • Stay abreast of general market and underwriting guideline changes to discuss and educate the customer on market industry in an informed fashion to clients and sales accounts
  • Make frequent outside calls on clients and prospects
  • Work independently and be able to grasp new concepts quickly, trouble shoot problems, and multi-task and prioritize work
  • Provide feedback to marketing department to create targeted ad campaigns
  • Occasionally work on weekends and after hours during high call volume months.

Requirements

  • Must be able to analyze financial statements and conduct cash flow analysis
  • Knowledge of tandard procedures in commercial loan origination, underwriting, processing, closing, funding, and servicing loans
  • Knowledge of credit instruments, contracts, collateral documents, real estate/business/commercial law
  • Must be able to problem solve
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills must be exhibited to positively represent Propel Real Estate Capital to customers
  • Must have customer service skills
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Must demonstrate a high level of performance, motivation, high ethical standards, professionalism, and integrity
  • Must be able to attend after hour community events
  • Must have excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
  • 1-3 years of commercial/consumer lending experience preferred
  • Background in sales strongly preferred
  • MS Office skills are needed
  • An existing network of relationships is preferred

This is an inbound sales position that requires adherence to operation hours and ability to achieve performance metrics.
