The Commercial LoanOfficer will be responsible for achievingcustomer service and sales goals as established in the Lending Division'sannual operating plan. This individual will perform a variety of duties to meetthe commercial services needs of business customers while complying withoperating policies and procedures established for the commercial servicesfunction.

EssentialDuties and Responsibilities:

  • Solicits new business from present and prospectivecustomers; maintains ongoing business relationships with present customers inorder to take advantage of additional cross-selling opportunities.

  • Serves as a memberof the Bank's sales team; makes group sales calls where these types of callswill improve the opportunity for new business development.

  • Effectivelyutilizes the bank's Customer Relationship Management program to track customersales and service activities as well as cultivate prospective opportunitieswithin the office's market area.

  • Maintains an active role in community affairs to improve

Bank's visibility in the area; serves on various civic committees to increase

Bank community involvement.

  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of the features andbenefits of all Bank commercial products and services in order to ascertaincustomer needs and to sell in conjunction with these needs.

  • Assists customers in obtaining specialized services fromother bank departments as necessary; provides help to customers with specificinquiries or service problems.

  • Develops and manages commercial loan accounts which meetestablished lending requirements and which provide maximum profitability to the

Bank with minimum risk.

  • Requests applicant credit reports, background checks,reference checks, and other information pertinent to the loan applicant'sevaluation.

  • Compiles loan packages and facilitates negotiation ofloan structure with applicant; ensures loan agreements are complete andaccurate according to Bank policy; assures timely loan closing and fundingactivities; approves loans within established lending authority.

  • Maintains credit quality and portfolio administrationwithin bank guidelines including participation in the collection of delinquentaccounts.

  • Continues ongoing education to stay abreast of currentlending regulations and procedures.

  • Interviews loan applicants and collects and analyzesfinancial and related data to determine the general creditability of theprospect and the merits of the specific loan request; establishes andnegotiates the terms under which credit will be extended, including the costs,repayment, and collateral requirement.

  • Monitors individual sales performance versus objectiveson a regular basis; discusses performance with appropriate supervisor on afrequent basis.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of Bank operating policiesand procedures which impact commercial services.

  • Achieves goals assigned to the Commercial Loan Officer aspart of the Lending Division's annual operating plan.

  • Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particulararea, or to requests from customers, other bank personnel, etc., within giventime frames and within established policy.

  • Provides sales information on a timely basis in orderthat this information may be included as part of customer service and salesperformance reports.

  • Maintains appropriate records and provides assignedreports.

  • Communicates with department management, otherdepartment managers, and appropriate staff personnel in order to integrategoals and activities.

Education& Qualifications:

  • AB.S. or B.A. degree in a related field normally required; specialized bankingeducation and training.

  • Aminimum of two (2) to four (4) years' experience in related positions normallyrequired.


Proficientreading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonalrelations, communicative, and sales skills; a thorough knowledge of thefeatures and benefits of all bank commercial products and services; a workingknowledge of bank operating policies and procedures which impact commercialservices; ability to sit, stand, walk,bend, stoop, reach with hands or arms, use hands to manipulate objects, handleor feel, and lift items weighing 20 lbs. or less; visual,auditory and speaking skills; valid driver'slicense is required.

Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital: A Joint Venture Lancaster General Hospital is partnering with UHS to create a Joint Venture, Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital, located in Lancaster, PA. Having broken ground in May 2017, this new state of the art facility will operate 126 inpatient psychiatric beds, a partial hospitalization program, and an intensive outpatient program. The expected opening of the hospital will be in June, 2018. This new hospital will support the Lancaster and surrounding communities by providing services close to home, and to better serve the Lancaster area's specific community behavioral health needs. Programs will include medical-psychiatric, geriatric, adolescent, women's trauma, adult and dual diagnosis units. Programs operate from a multidisciplinary trauma informed care treatment team model. The care and work environment is collegial with quality patient care the end goal in all that we do. A fully integrated electronic medical record (Epic) is utilized for all services. To learn more please visit: Chief Financial Officer Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital The ideal CFO will have extensive experience in Hospital Facility and Outpatient Healthcare Financials preferably in a behavioral health setting. This position is a member of the hospitals leadership team. Providing financial leadership and day to day financial management. Including oversight of business office operations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general accounting, general ledger, monthly close, yearly close, financial reporting, budget preparation and FTE management. * Monitor and control accounts receivables. Closely oversees Business Office functions to ensure cash collection goals are met, and net revenue is properly stated. * Improve the profitability of the hospital. Continually monitor costs in all areas, especially staffing as it relates to patient volume. * Develop and monitor policies and procedures within generally accepted accounting principles and corporate guidelines to ensure sufficient cash flow, reduced hospital operating costs, and increased revenues. * Prepare monthly financial statements, financial packages, and other informational reports/analysis * Provide reconciliations, account analysis, and other information for Reimbursement Department, Tax Department, Auditors, etc., to aid in preparation of reports. * Prepare annual budget in conjunction with UHS standards. In cooperation with management and department heads, reviews prior financial results and discusses anticipated changes to highlight future needs and trends of the facility. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role in a healthcare setting. Behavioral health strongly preferred. * Minimum education requirement of a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred * Proven record of success improving the profitability of a hospital by continually monitoring costs in all areas, especially staffing as it relates to patient volume. * At least 5 years of experience overseeing the Business Office functions to ensure cash collection goals are met, and net revenue is properly stated.
