What you will be doing:

• Assist in the development of programs, coverages, rates, and forms for the commercial residential property product, working cross-departmentally throughout the organization.

• Solicit, underwrite, and price new and renewal commercial residential property business.

• Provide superior underwriting and client services to brokers, agents, and other company affiliates.

• Review technical inspections, appraisals, and other data relevant to the risk profile, analyzing for risk appetite, profitability, and overall portfolio characteristics to ensure a financially sound product.

• Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions, correspondence, and other relevant documentation.

• Serve as the company representative to commercial brokers and agents, fostering relationships with new partners and identifying new business opportunities.

• Work with external partners, identify trends and recommend appropriate underwriting, pricing, and product action to the leadership team.

• Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting commercial insurance underwriting.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on commercial residential property and assist with training as needed.

• Perform other duties, as assigned.

What you have:

Education, Experience, and Licensing:

• Bachelor's degree or High School diploma and equivalent relevant work experience required.

• 3+ years' experience in Commercial Residential Property Insurance experience

• Active Florida 2-20 General Lines Insurance License required.

• Professional Insurance Designations such as CPCU, CIC, AAI, desired.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

• Expert knowledge of commercial lines products and underwriting processes and risk management techniques.

• Strong knowledge of insurance and reinsurance structure.

• Proven ability to be adaptable and flexible; adjusting to new requirements or unforeseen issues.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to plan and prioritize effectively to ensure projects are completed on schedule.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to professionally interact with team members across departments.

• Proficient in MSO/365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
