Community Insurance Solutions, or CIS, provides insurance and risk management solutions for community businesses. We strive to put the customer experience at the center of every decision we make.

The CIS team is staffed with the best and the brightest our organization has to offer. Members of the CIS team have defined roles that focus specifically on one of the following areas:

  • Serving as the primary point of communication to develop and maintain client relationships, including proactively identifying the needs of our clients.

  • Managing automatic renewal book and marketing as needed.

  • Coordinating the internal activities and delivery of services within the business unit.

Right now, we're looking for experienced and professional individuals to join and grow our new team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Developing relationships with clients

  • Coordinating activities to meet the needs of clients and properly onboarding new clients

  • Initiating the renewal process for direct bill automatic renewal accounts

  • Market renewal accounts with automated online carriers as needed.

  • Reviews existing book of business for account rounding opportunities and resource for clients concerning value added services offered by BXS Insurance.,

  • Reviews and compares quotes to obtain the most comprehensive insurance programs and products for our clients.

  • Prepares Summaries of Insurance, schedules, and proposals as needed.

  • Provide, directly or indirectly, the necessary customer service for CIS accounts, including correspondence and communication with customers and insurance carriers.

  • Maintaining required data in the agency management system and electronic filing system

  • Maintaining awareness of the insurance marketplace, underwriting guidelines, appetites, and programs

  • Staying abreast of new developments in the insurance marketplace through publications, seminars, and industry organizations

  • Serving as a resource to the CIS Team during the sales or renewal process

  • Overtime as necessary

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Designations

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Four year college degree preferred, but not required

  • Possess appropriate insurance license or ability to obtain license in six (6) months

  • Property & Casualty designation preferred; if no designation held, ability to begin work towards designation within six (6) months

  • Excellent communicator with clients of all levels, including both internal and external clients.

Knowledge/Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years agency or insurance company experience

  • Experience in both property and casualty and life and health preferred

  • Proven ability to solicit and close new business opportunities preferred

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

  • Organizational and time management skills required

  • Ability to work in a team environment required

  • Projects professional appearance and manner

  • Self-directed self-starter with a high attention to detail

  • Ability to multi-task

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand or sit at a workstation during a standard workday

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as calculator, copy machine and printer

  • Ability to move about the office to access office machinery and supplies

Mental Requirements

  • Ability to work and meet challenging deadlines and expectations

  • Job entails meticulous attention to detail. Must perform well within frequent interruptions or distractions

  • Ability to quickly adjust priorities, focus and direction as circumstances dictates.
