The purpose of the position is to evaluate, authorize, or recommend approval of commercial, real estate, or other credit loans. Originate services and manages all types of commercial loan while meeting established loan quality, deposit and income goals.

Job Description


  • Originate, review and underwrite commercial loan applications.

  • Analyze and review credit information to make a general assessment of applicant's credit worthiness and determine if the loan will conform to the bank's lending policy

  • Exercises due diligence when underwriting loans including assessing risks, real estate analysis, cash flow, profitability

  • Prepare written summary of loan terms and conditions and a written narrative explaining business background, outlining risk factor and justify assigned risk rating

  • Improve condition of loan portfolio by working to reduce delinquencies through improved collection and underwriting techniques

  • Develop and maintain business relationships and referral sources throughout the community

  • Seeks to expand bank product usage to current customers by cross selling all types of deposit accounts, loan accounts, and services during customer contacts and interviews

  • Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products to better meet customer need

  • Participates in community-oriented and professional organizations to determine the various depository and credit needs of the Bank's market area to support Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) objectives

  • Update and maintain accurate new business sand renewal files

  • Respond professionally and accurately to customer inquiries and concerns in a timely manner

  • Perform other job related duties as assigned


  • College degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • 2-3 years experience in a credit analysis/underwriting role relative to commercial lending, required

  • 5+ years of proven commercial lending experience required

  • Solid knowledge of financial lending regulations

  • Results oriented, sales aptitude with demonstrated ability to achieve organizational and business goals

  • Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, required

  • Careful attention to detail and time management

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong team player

  • Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC related responsibilities in the performance of daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

This Pretrial Services Officer III position is with the Community Corrections Divisions – Pretrial Services Program. The Denver Division of Community Corrections (DCC) is an agency within the Department of Safety. The agency administers alternative to incarceration programs including; pretrial services, in-home detention, and residential halfway houses. The DCC has a diverse and dedicated staff committed to enhancing public safety and working with community and other criminal justice agencies to alleviate system backlogs and inefficiencies. The City and County of Denver, Pretrial Services Program is seeking a Pretrial Services Officer III to perform professional work including interviewing, investigating, counseling, recommending, supervising and referring defendants involved in the pretrial process. In addition, this position prepares various documents for the court during the pretrial process. This position is currently assigned to the Denver Pretrial Office located inside the Downtown Detention Center, 490 W Colfax Ave Denver, CO and involves non-traditional hours including a weekend/overnight schedule. Overnight hours are also eligible for the 12% pay differential. Successful candidates must complete and pass a background investigation that encompasses the applicant's employment and criminal history. Including a drug screen and Personnel Evaluation Profile (PEP). Job responsibilities include: * Conducts investigations and interviews and verifies client information using a variety of sources and techniques.Navigates through different criminal justice and case management databases. * Prepares pretrial reports which include recommendations presented to the court. * Reviews supervision conditions with the client, along with monitoring compliance with ordered conditions, establishing a reporting schedule, and referring to community support agencies when needed. * Performs electronic monitoring equipment installations and daily alert monitoring. * Establishes an understanding of various electronic monitoring devices and reporting used in offender management. * Communicates regularly with clients, court officials, victims, and other criminal justice agencies as it pertains to effective case management.determines action(s) to be taken for client failure to meet pretrial requirements and notifies superiors and the court.evaluates client condition through administering and analyzing the results of diagnostic tests. * Testifies in court as needed. * May require evening, overnight and/or weekend hours. * Any one position may not include all of the duties and or requirements listed. However, the allocation of positions will be determined by the amount of time spent in performing the essential duties listed above. About You The ideal candidate will have: * Using computers for data entry, retrieval of records, case management and documentation of monitoring/interventions. * Knowledge of research and interviewing techniques sufficient to be able to determine what information is needed, secure and analyze desired information, and formulate logical recommendations. * Preparing professional written documentation, utilizing correct grammatical form and clearly expressing ideas. * Interpreting and applying written guidelines, precedents and work practices to standardized work situations or specific cases. * Communicating clearly and concisely to elicit and/or present explanatory or interpretive information. * Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, organizations and the public. * Maintain professional standards in all contacts with the public and conduct business in a courteous, helpful way and be capable of handling difficult situations. * Ability to effectively manage resistant, hostile or non-compliant individuals to conclude cases effectively. * Ability to work independently * Bi-lingual ability to speak and understand both English and Spanish is preferred but not required We realize your time is valuable so please do not apply if you do not have at least the following required minimum qualifications: * Education: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, Criminal Justice, or a related field. * Experience: Two (2) years of experience in interviewing, investigating, case management, and/or counseling in areas such as pretrial, probation, community corrections, prison, alcohol/drug abuse, domestic violence, or a related area. * Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of posthigh school education.
