QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school or six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.

  • Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for supporting the job activities for one or more commercial, community, and business banking officers. General duties include business loan documentation, portfolio reporting and other related duties. This position further functions in various customer service roles related to administration, and follow up and support for business loan and deposit relationships.

  • Ability to assure documentation quality through appropriate follow-up and clearing of exceptions.

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.

  • Ability to type with speed and accuracy.

  • Knowledge and ability to learn banking systems and software programs necessary for efficient completion of duties.

  • Ability to perform specialized or confidential administrative duties.

  • Must have the ability to compile data, write reports and correspondence.

  • Must possess the willingness to accept job duties as outlined in the current job description or as assigned.

Solid understanding of all aspects of commercial lending, documentation and servicing. Must be able to recognize what is missing or needed and be prepared to call the client independently. Previous formal credit training or proven strong credit analysis skills, preferred. Ability to coordinate and/or manage multiple projects in various stages simultaneously. Ability to read, analyze and interpret Commercial and Commercial Construction Loan documents including notes, mortgages and construction loan agreements. Experience in analyzing financial statements from commercial clients to determine what is needed. Experience in reviewing covenants to understand if the loan will be able to meet those covenants Experience with commercial draw agreements and make independent decisions to determine if it is the correct draw amount and if not, must be able to call the client and explain the reasoning. Must have experience working independently with the credit and underwriting personnel. SUMMARY: The Portfolio Manager will work as a member of the commercial banking team. The Portfolio Manager will be assigned to work directly with key Commercial Bankers within the primary Markets covered by WesBanco. Individual will be responsible for Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and/or Commercial & Industrial (C&I) relationships. Will have the responsibility of managing a portfolio in excess of $100 million. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Attend meetings with Commercial bankers to learn about borrowers/projects. Prepares information request lists necessary to analyze new loan requests and assist with collection of this material with the borrower. Input new loan requests into Finance Center and submit for underwriting and approval. Coordinate underwriting and processing of new loan requests and modifications with Credit Risk Management. Engage, coordinate and review third party reports (appraisal, environmental, inspection). Prepare and coordinate Line of Credit annual renewals. Prepare and coordinate annual relationship review. Assist with coordination of loan closings including as liaison with outside attorneys and title companies. Attend loan closings with or on behalf of Commercial Bankers. Assist with clean-up and resolution of loan exceptions. Maintain direct client contact to collect financial and other information and manage portfolio. Monitor construction loans and advances in conjunction with Secured Credit Administration (CRE). Analyze commercial construction draw packages submitted by commercial lending production areas for completion and accuracy and recommend approval or denial of requested draw amount. Specifically: receive, review and balance commercial construction draw documentation (budgets, inspection reports, title updates and lien wavers, etc.); review all documentation and disbursements to ensure all funds have been disbursed properly; and order project inspections and title updates and review both for compliance. Ability interface with customer on issues as they arise. Monitor borrowing base certificates/AR agings and Line of Credit advances in conjunction with Secured Credit Administration (C&I). Interface and coordinate activities with centralize funding.
