Title: Commercial Leasing Asset Manager
Location: Baltimore or within M&T Bank footprint
Basic Function: Responsible for establishing accurate equipment values, negotiating various transactions, disposing of returned equipment and assisting with overall equipment portfolio management.
Research various equipment types to project present and future equipment values for the purpose of providing residual pricing to the marketing team in a timely and thorough manner.
Understand components of equipment leasing to ensure prudent equipment covenants are incorporated into lease to protect equipment value.
Monitor the various equipment markets for technology changes and market influences that affect value of leased equipment and residual pricing of similar equipment.
Initiate research of end of lease account responsibilities, use research data to determine fair market value ranges and renewal rental rates.
Remarket returned equipment in a timely and cost effective manner to maximize net proceeds to the bank.
Prepare residual analysis, collateral valuations and assist in the equipment reviews required by policy.
Assist in the calculation of lease terminations and buyouts, communicate amounts to lessee.
Expand and maintain contacts in the secondary market equipment dealer and broker network, using contacts to provide relevant equipment information and monitor any technology advances or market condition changes which could impact leased equipment values.
Perform all required accounting, internal documentation and reporting necessary to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
Perform other special projects as requested by management.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree or in lieu of a bachelor's degree, four years relevant work experience.
Minimum ten years of equipment management or relevant experience.
Minimum five years financial analysis experience.
Excellent PC skills with knowledge of Word, Excel and other departmental software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent analytical skills.
