Job Summary

Brown & Brown of New York, dba The Spain Agency, is looking for an Sales Executive to join our Commercial Lines team! As one of the largest insurance intermediaries in the industry, we need new sales executives to assist us in carrying on an unmatched tradition of success. The primary responsibilities of this role are to sell and renew insurance to businesses in this community and region. Our team environment will provide you with a wealth of resources to help you reach your full potential. New sales are the focus of the position and cross sales of existing clients is also encouraged. As a full service agency, we can bring Personal Insurance, Commercial Insurance and Employee Benefits products to our customers. You will report directly to our Sales Manager.

Responsibilities:

Attain and exceed all sales goals by setting appointments with qualified leads through phone calls, emails, and other methods.
Responsible for the development and successful acquisition of new business revenue from new and existing clients
Prospect sectors or market areas by identifying needs and proposing company products and services
Obtain prospects and pursue and create interest by telephone calls, writing letters, or making personal visits
Maintain currency and further develop expertise in declared sector or market area by networking and participating in professional development activities
Identify areas for continuous improvement and implement initiatives to increase cost savings or effectiveness
Develop strong relationships with prospects and clients

Required Skills

1+ years outside sales experience.
Willingness to obtain Producer License, or current valid license.

Preferred:

2-5 years experience in the insurance industry
Insurance designations

Salary Range

Competitive Base Salary + Commission Opportunity!

The Account Manager will work with members of the department to achieve customer service and client satisfaction. This is a great opportunity to manage a book of business! You will report to the Commercial Lines Team Leader. This is a full-time, permanent, benefits eligible position! Responsibilities: * Manage the daily account management of an assigned book of business, including invoicing, claims reporting and follow up, premium breakdowns, policy changes, review of policy forms, providing coverage comparisons, and responding to policy questions. * Oversee the completion of administrative tasks including issuance of certificates of insurance, auto ID cards, and processing policies/endorsements. * Build successful relationships with clients, vendors, and carriers to improve client retention. * Identify gaps in coverage and consult leadership or producer of options to advise our clients. * Support the renewal process for all assigned and prospective clients with the producer including ordering updated loss information, obtaining updated information, handling renewal applications, renewal marketing, account rounding, reviewing and facilitating the renewal pricing including preparing the renewal proposal, and binders. * Review and document internal compliance and client disclosure requirements, policies, endorsements, and * certificates to ensure understanding of client expectations, legal requirements, and insurance operations. * Help grow the assigned book of business through account rounding and referrals. * Support marketing and sales teams. * Follow agency guidelines, policies, and procedures. VIEW JOBS Job Summary The Spain Agency, a Brown & Brown company, is seeking a talented Commercial Lines Risk Manager to join our Mahopac, NY team! This individual will act as the main point of contact for renewal strategy and client contacts, in our large accounts division. We will rely on you to communicate clients' needs to customer service representatives as well as reporting needs to Producers. You will have the exciting opportunity to manage and retain an existing book of business and pursue new opportunities for the book, where appropriate, including a specific business plan for growth. This role will require you to spend approximately 50-60% of the time outside with customers and addressing new business opportunities. Responsibilities: * Individual would be responsible for working closely with Producer to develop relationships, client visits, cross selling and assisting with renewal process for assigned clients. * Spend approximately 50-60% of the time outside with customers and new business opportunities. * Follow-up to address customer needs and resolve any problems or issues. * Ensure proper resources from within the organization are involved with the customer and introduce new products through the other core business groups, where appropriate. * Develop service plan and timeline for each client. Required Skills * 5+ years experience in a similar capacity. * Strong technical proficiency in working with Property & Casualty insurance. * NY Brokers License.
