Position Summary:

The standard function of the position is to assist on the job site, as needed, with the installation of commercial alarm, fire, CCTV and Card Access systems while working under close supervision of a more senior installer, mentor or supervisor.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Learns/assists with the installation of alarm, fire, CCTV, and Card Access systems.

  • Provides reliable, high quality customer support.

  • System installations may include equipment, cabinets, boxes, wire, conduit and other materials.

  • Organizes and utilizes technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks.

  • Monitors and ensures the progress and completion of assigned tasks.

  • Completes and submits all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.

  • Must have a strong work ethic.

  • Must be detail-oriented.

  • Must complete other projects, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Skills & Experience):

  • Minimum of High School Diploma/Vocational Training.

  • No minimum years of professional experience nor professional skills required.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to clear a drug screening.

Certification/Licensing:

  • Must obtain and retain any specific product certifications and/or licenses that are required by national, state and local codes.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and harsh work environments.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms; push; pull; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.

  • Use vision abilities including: close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color.

  • Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions/circumstances such as with ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, wires, ducts, crawl spaces, attics, above ceilings, etc.

  • Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to work a full-time, flexible schedule with "on call availability" and must be able to travel on short notice.

  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended time periods.

Description Position Summary: The Electrician executes projects and work orders by installing, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs. Essential Functions: * The Electrician executes scheduled assignments, work requests and projects. * Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine correct layout and troubleshoot of industrial electrical equipment installations * Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, Ethernet and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components * Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance * Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors * Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records * May install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices * Research and specify repair parts from manuals and computer sources * Commitment to participate in continuous improvement efforts to optimize reliability and value * Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager Qualifications * Previous experience in a process driven electrical maintenance position required * Must have the ability to read drawings and blueprints and interpret specifications * Must have the ability to understand and apply industry standards for installation, repairs, and safety * Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal * Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks * Requires occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling * Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. * 3 phase control experience a plus!!
