The Commercial Foodservice Preventative Maintenance (PM) Tech provides customer service in the field to perform routine preventative maintenance on several pieces of equipment from commercial cooking, refrigeration and/or HVAC equipment. The PM Technician will perform the routine cleaning on the equipment and follow through until the job is complete.
Properly perform preventative maintenance as needed and/or assigned for ensuring the ongoing functioning of the commercial cooking equipment.
Provides the highest level of service to the customer and professionally communicate the service needed to customers and branch office.
Inspects the equipment and their related components to ensure safe operation.
Legibly completes paperwork for all services performed on behalf of the customer.
Consults with the Parts Department to get needed parts ordered.
Installs parts ordered for the customer in a timely and professional manner.
Follows safe work practices and accident prevention procedures.
Maintains a neat and orderly truck, along with accurate part and tool inventory.
Maintains productivity levels in accordance with company standards.
Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
Moderate to heavy lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. or maneuvering heavier items with additional manpower or appropriate devices.
Requires walking, standing, driving, sitting, squatting, kneeling, reaching overhead, bending, twisting, and turning.
Must be able to use hands for fine manipulation of hand tools.
High school graduate/GED or the equivalent
Mechanically inclined with a hunger to learn new things.
Refrigeration technicians must be EPA certified.
CEFESA certified is a plus.
Background experience in gas, electric, and/or steam repairs is a plus.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Own industry's standard hand tools.
Excellent organizational skills.
Must be motivated, a self-started, and able to follow through on duties and assignments with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work rotational on-call as needed.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
