The Commercial Flooring Estimator is a highly organized individual with great communication who prepares estimates for specific flooring materials (i.e. porcelain, ceramic, natural stone). Works with a strong sense of urgency to provide quick, viable and complete flooring solutions. Manages multiple projects while using their strong time management and organizational skills to complete assignments.

What you'll do

• Perform material quantity estimates or "take-offs" for flooring products (i.e. porcelain, ceramic, natural stone tiles & slabs)

• Perform quantity calculations and determine spread rates for setting materials and accessories needed to complete an installation

• Determine and verify scopes of work from bid documents

• Assemble & organize material quantities in a highly organized manner on an Excel spreadsheet or other electronic methods

• Interface with clients (general contractors or end-users) regarding scope of work questions & changes to projects when required

• Travel to perform site field measurements when needed

• Travel to visit general contractor or client offices to pick-up plans/drawings when required & perform estimates at the contractor's office

• Attend project job site walks & scope of work meetings when required & applicable

• Read and comprehend blueprints, construction drawings, and diagrams

• Interact with all levels of management, including executives

• Must be open to a flexible work schedule

What you'll bring

• 2+ years of construction product estimating experience (commercial floor covering installation a plus)

• All aspects of the flooring materials and installation process, with emphasis on hard surface tile and stone. (Product technical knowledge, setting/installation material applications, installation procedures, TCNA & ANSI guidelines, specification comprehension and compliance)

• Construction and Flooring materials application and technical specifications

• Able to also prepare estimates Carpet, Vinyl and Wood along with Hard surfaces and stone a plus

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)

• AutoCAD, Procore, and Callidus experience a plus

$22 - $40 an hour
