Responsible for providing finance management, leadership and direction to the Arconic Fastening Systems (AFS) Commercial Organization. Supports attainment of the business unit sales, profit and free cashflow objectives by action as an internal consultant to the AFS VP Finance and to the commercial and product management leads of AFS.
Deliver financial insight to enable sustainable growth and provide recommendations with a high degree of business impact to the most senior executives of the business unit and that position's executive staff. Continually improves the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes in areas of authority. Seeks to improve profit performance across business unit.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Contributes to the definition and the implementation of the marketing, sales and distribution strategy, along with business development initiatives, in alignment with Arconic and Business Unit strategies.
Work in cross-functional team to translate strategy into business plans, financial forecasts and assists in the establishment of measurable targets.
Directly responsible for bridging historical revenue results and future forecasts modeling out significant impacts such as forex, pricing impacts, market growth, base retention losses and organic / inorganic growth strategies.
Develop, enhance and maintain modeling tools that track pricing impacts within revenue results and forecasts.
Monitor the financial performance of the sales activities, analyze and give business recommendations as well as action controller of AFS DI (Degrees of Implementation) Growth Sheets.
Participate in preparation of monthly/quarterly executive presentations reporting out business unit performance and strategy.
Support implementation of efficient sales distribution controlling/accounting processes and governance while ensuring that internal controls are respected at all times. Ensure compliance with all financial Arconic Self Assessments (ASATs) applicable to the AFS Commercial Organization. Identifies and manages potential risks relating to contract agreements across the organization.
Key team member on customer negotiation. Ensure and support accuracy and efficiency of commercial and distribution/channel management related processes including quotation, sales price management, rebates and discount management, invoicing, credit collection and account receivables (due, overdue). Responsible for providing financial history if applicable and financial modeling for long-term agreement negotiations.
Monitor competitive dynamics of industry and perform competitor benchmarking analysis. Report out to senior management findings, changes in competitor landscape, periodic financial results and variations to AFS business unit financial performance.
Responsible for maintaining AFS Commercial P&L which segments profitability by customer, product and market. Ensure that data integrity is maintained by identifying issues and coordinating corrective actions. Report out BU deliverables such as revenue by market analysis and top customer revenue reporting.
Support intercompany transfer pricing analysis liaising with Arconic Corporate Tax and BU Finance / Commercial teams.
Support operating locations on revenue related items as specified in requirements in contracts. These include but are not limited to metals recovery and learner curve pricing.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Participate as key thought leader of business unit financial team while providing support, analysis and reporting out of BU financial and non-financial weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual deliverables.
Interface with Finance team and Commercial Organization on complex sales accounting related matters.
Provide financial support across all departmental functions of the organization and be able to effectively function in a diverse international environment.
Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration from an accredited institution.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounting and Finance.
