Huntsman is seeking a Commercial Excellence Manager supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in The Woodlands, Tx. This position will report to the Commercial Director, Americas.

Job Scope

The Commercial Excellence Manager (CEM) will be responsible for the execution of the Commercial Excellence Strategy in North America. The CEM will be responsible to build strong, and lasting relationships at all levels of the Commercial and Marketing organizations to drive profitable sales. This is an individual contributor role to start with the potential to recommend and build a team based on workflow, value, and recommendations.

As the Commercial Excellence Manager, you will:

Digital Selling

  • Drive the Lead Management to Commercialization process to include qualification of new customers through the sales pipeline.

CRM Management

  • Serve as the lead for establishing KPI's and tracking salesperson performance, communicating effectiveness across the sales organizations and launching performance changing tools to improve outcomes.

  • Improve the overall sales pipeline process, working with the Sales Leaders and Commercial Director to create better transparency, accountability and communication of important pipeline projects, wins, progress, and overall health.

Digital Sales Tools

  • Own the Huntsman Advanced Materials digital sales dashboard preparation and population to drive customer value and engagement across the sales organization portfolio.

  • Assist in sales forecasts to support efficient planning of products and enhance tools for more accuracy. Help AdMat AMR improve Integrated Business Planning, forecast accuracy, and long term growth planning.

  • Other tools and focus areas - Customer Scorecards (capturing value drivers, non-conformance items), Voice of Customer (Net Promoter System), Forecasting tools, Sales Funnel resources and tool implementation, coordination with Supply Chain Excellence metrics.

Contract Management

  • Actively monitor current contracts, calendaring the contract timeframes and providing metrics to the sales team in order to effectively execute the contract terms in partnership with the customer while simultaneously building a contract element warehouse.

Sales Support

  • Actively engage market teams to ensure communication and delivery of tools and information to expedite sales process steps.

  • Support market intelligence gathering on both current and potential customer portfolio, competitor activities and market trends.

  • Serve as Commercial lead for special projects as deemed by Commercial Director.

Required Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Chemical Engineering or Business Administration

  • 5+ years of work experience in commercial or analytical role

  • Experience in a B2B company

Demonstrated ability to:

  • Strong leadership and influencing skills with prior experience leading a team of direct reports.

  • Drive growth through effective lead and opportunity management.

  • Communicate and interact effectively across multiple levels of external and internal organizations.

  • Excellent planning, organizing, and work management skills to effectively prioritize customer and sales focused activities.

  • Utilize CRM Sales Funnel to drive growth, establish benchmarks and increase commercial effectiveness.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven track record of building strong customer and internal relationships.

  • Must have outstanding verbal, analytical, written, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or progress toward an MBA

  • Experience in a Chemical/Specialty Chemical industry is preferred.

  • Experience in an Industrial sector is preferred

  • Experience in sales, marketing or both

  • People leadership
