Commercial Electrician

Job Summary: The Commercial Electrician will be responsible for installing commercial electrical wiring, lighting, and electrical components according to local NEC codes.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Duties/Responsibilities: Communicate effectively with the customer and support staff.

Digs underground trenches to carry cables. Cutting, bending, threading, and running electrical conduit materials. Terminating electrical panels, set fixtures, outlets, and various electrical devices.

Installs EMT, PVC, GRC, and other conduit and cable systems. Install panels, disconnect, meters, and other gear- related items. Interpret and install building lighting controls.

Inspects and tests powerlines and related equipment. Determines whether transformers, switches, or other devices are defective. Uses lifts, excavators, telehandlers, and other equipment during the installation process.

Operates power tools and equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities:

Working knowledge of powerline installation and repair of electrical systems. Working knowledge of National Electric Code. Ability to interpret basic drawings.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Good work ethic and willingness to learn new methods. Self-motivated and driven to get job done.

Proficient in electrical systems diagnostic equipment. Excellent mechanical skills. Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a formal apprenticeship required. Current clean driving record required.

Physical Requirements: Physically able to work with heavy tools and equipment at heights. Must be able to lift 60 pounds at a time to carry heavy cable.
