The Commercial Counsel is responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing medium complexity, routine, high volume procurement contracts or contract amendments that support business objectives. This role develops negotiation strategies with internal business partners, evaluates risk exposure, and makes recommendations to business partners or legal counsel.
The Commercial Counsel works with internal partners to limit commercial risk, margin erosion and ensure compliance with internal contracting policies. This position requires knowledge and experience in contracting concepts, contract interpretation, proposal evaluation , and dispute resolution. Knowledge and experience negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, subcontracts, software license agreement and data protection agreements is required. Will be a strategic partner to the business units and will have responsibility for legal support of the business units in procurement transactions in the EMEA region.
