Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing. The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.

The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP. Delek US Holdings, Inc.and its affiliates own approximately 63% (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP. Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE:DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Delek is growing its Legal team to support its business units, including refinery operations, transportation and logistics, retail operations and the corporate support center.

The Contracts Attorney will assist with the development, management and administration of contracts, tracking key terms and monitoring compliance with established policies and procedures, and helping to ensure that Delek is achieving value from its contracts.

The ideal candidate should be an organized, energetic, hands-on team player capable of managing many different duties simultaneously. Good research and writing skills, people skills and a positive attitude are important as this position interacts with employees across business units on a daily basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review, markup/draft of contracts (from templates and original drafting), negotiate and close, contracts, including master services agreements, statements of work, letters or intent, purchase and sale agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other supporting documents across Delek's business units.

  • Assist in due diligence activities associated with potential merger and acquisition endeavors.

  • Provide rapid, accurate, and thorough turnaround for routine contracts.

  • Develop and maintain library of contract documents and templates.

  • Log key contract terms and prepare data reports as requested

  • Identify, review and mitigate financial, legal, and commercial risks in consultation with the relevant subject matter experts.

  • Review final contract against agreed and approved position.

  • Suggest process improvement ideas to improve inefficiencies in the contracting process and contribute to other process improvement initiatives.

ADDITIONAL OCCASIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Legal Department with additional projects and duties as assigned

  • Coordinate employee training on contracting processes

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Juris Doctorate with a valid license to practice law in any state and ability to qualify as in house counsel in Tennessee.

  • Minimum of five years of Legal experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understanding of the formation of contracts and common legal terms and requirements

  • Experience negotiating contract terms

  • Attention to detail and organization

  • Experience with contract management and administration

  • Strong verbal skills and superior grammatical and writing skills

  • Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite; Excel; Share Point)

  • Prior experience using Contract Management systems, preferred

TRAVEL: Occasional, 10% or less

Purpose of Role Sourcing is responsible for $1.4B in ingredients and packaging material for the North America Petcare business and makes up the largest expense, nearly 40% of our business costs.  This role is accountable for identifying & delivering annual Cost Savings opportunities of 4-6% and economical product manufacturing and innovation for our business.    The role operates in a pet friendly, open office environment making the world a better place for pets.   Principal Accountabilities * Utmost responsibility is the achievement of savings through the continuous benchmarking of different components and of different product solutions while keeping the same level of quality. * Develop “Should-Cost” models/clean sheets of materials which requires a deep understanding of cost drivers and the manufacturing process in order to identify areas for cost savings opportunity: * Analyze costs built from existing bills of materials * Identify the various resources available to gather the appropriate data needed to build a cost model * Evaluate current specifications and compare to industry standard to identify potential cost savings through alignment * Ability to calculate yields, overhead, labor & profit in order to determine a fair price * Identify savings opportunities and provide guidance/insight to sourcing managers for supplier negotiations * Apply this knowledge to influence Business Management Teams (BMT’s), future product roadmap, and sourcing decisions. * Support Sourcing Managers in: * Building category strategies, supply base, and MPC business environment to provide creative supply solutions minimizing supply risk * Provide analytical support and input for forecasts, capacity planning, various procurement requests (RFI, RFP, RFQ, etc.), negotiations, procurement strategies, cash delivery, and other procurement tools  * Analyzing supplier quotations and bids to co-develop product recommendations * Potential stretch opportunity to support other categories outside of Animal Proteins * Develop materials, systems, methods, and recommended materials to assure the most economical product manufacturing, through a continuous benchmark activity. * Plan and direct teardowns (including via 3rd parties) to obtain valid cost benchmark * Partner with Suppliers and R&D team to evaluate products made with different ingredients and identify the opportunity costs associated with each ingredient * Deliver market information and analysis to drive business understanding of sourcing categories.  This can include leading creation and implementation of strategic supplier initiatives to deliver sustained competitive advantage.   Key Functional Skills/Knowledge * Possesses a passion for finding information on new and innovative trends to relevant industries * Shows strong interpersonal skills * Self-motivated with excellent organization skills – able to judge priorities * Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills * Ability to handle multiple tasks as well as prioritize work * Strong verbal and written skills * Ability to work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment   * Strong customer focus and service orientation * Strong in MS Office products used for analysis and presentation of data, specifically MS Excel and MS PowerPoint * Demonstrated ability to be consistent, dependable and accurate in carrying out responsibilities to a successful conclusion * Previous experience in SAP, Ariba, Smartsheets is a plus                                Minimum Qualifications * 5-10 years of experience developing “Should-Cost” models/clean sheets for materials and involvement in Negotiations (RFI’s/RFP’s) * Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field * Successful multi-year track record in a procurement organization * Shows comfort with a broad range of research tools and technologies * Shows comfort with analytics (Excel or greater) * Exhibits strong communication skills (written and verbal) * Familiar with a variety of food manufacturing processes, food and packaging materials, and product testing * Ability to build project and work plans to engage broader stakeholders   Preferred Qualifications * MBA * 3+ years’ experience working in Animal Protein supply chain, especially in Feed. * Experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, finance, packaging, or the CPG industry * Proficient in SAP and MRP systems #LI-LM1   Mars is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
