Summary:

A Commercial Banking Administrative Assistant will work under occasional supervision while performing clerical and administrative services for Commercial Loan Officers. The position requires an individual able to prioritize and organize responsibilities to assure timely completion for assigned duties and will interact with employees of various Bank departments to provide quality service, solve problems and achieve goals.

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of one (1) year office experience.

Education and Training:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • One (1) year of additional specialized education or equivalent

Skills:

  • Typing

  • PC proficiency with Microsoft Office Products and loan documentation software

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Interpersonal skills

  • Organization skills

  • Knowledge of loan forms, processes and procedures with attention to detail

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare loan documentation and follow up on incomplete, incorrect or missing documentation

  • Create memorandums, letters and other necessary documents for lenders

  • Screen incoming mail and telephone calls and route as required

  • Establish and maintain department files and records

  • Prepare manual and computer generated reports as requested

  • Assure assigned reports and/or projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner

  • Provide quality service to commercial loan customers (e.g. receive and process payments, respond to inquiries, etc.)

  • Various other duties will include research, organizing meetings, making reservations and special projects

  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion

  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed

Other Information:

As an integral member of the Commercial Lending Department, this position is also responsible to provide assistance wherever necessary to help the department and the Bank in achieving their annual goals.
