Commercial Banking (CB) serves more than 30,000 clients, including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions, and not-for-profit entities with annual revenues generally ranging from $20 million to $2 billion. The Firm's broad platform positions the Commercial Bank to deliver extensive product capabilities - lending, treasury services, investment banking, and asset management - to meet our clients' domestic and international financial needs.
The Director is a position within the CB Chief Administrative Office team and will report to the Head of Business Continuity for the Commercial Bank and lead the design and management of a CB Virtual Command Center with real-time monitoring of critical client-facing and internal service delivery. The purpose of the virtual command center will be to provide an integrated view across systems and processes from lines of business to proactively manage operational delivery for CB clients.
Directly shape and manage the end-to-end vision, roadmap and creation of an integrated virtual Command Center to proactively manage the CB client experience
Think strategically and tactically, to design and implement deliverables, with the flexibility to adjust to new innovations, regulations and priorities
Exhibit ownership in managing partnerships and consulting with business and technology stakeholders to deliver a state of the art Virtual Command Center
Learn the businesses that we serve, to inform the work we do
Conduct consistent listening tours and environmental study sessions of our businesses
Track business evolution practices to match the on-going development and operation of the Command Center
Document end-to-end transaction flows for inbound and outbound transactions to define workflow interdependencies in systems and processes
Identify systemic intersections, dependencies, and key deadlines in delivery of products and SLAs
Create the ability to monitor and identify real-time client impacts related to production disruptions including connection to proactive communications
Develop client and system modeling capabilities to project the assess the progression of impacts from a sustained disruption
Leverage client experience data to evaluate products, SLAs, and optimize infrastructure
Create analytical capability to analyze individual client use of products and services
10+ years financial services experience with 10 years or more of experience in workflow design, technology implementations, or integrated data management across production systems.
Strong working knowledge of treasury products and services and banking operations.
Experience coordinating cross line-of-business initiatives for a complex business.
Ability to build relationships and provide consultation related to information management and client delivery.
Demonstrated experience making independent critical fact based decisions while understanding the appropriate escalation points
Strong organization, attention to detail, time management, planning skills and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities
Ability to review documentation and provide executive summary overviews and trending analysis for internal and external audiences
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to multiple levels of management, both written and verbal
Strong influencing and negotiation skills
Knowledge of risk management and business resiliency tools
Ability to lead, challenge and adopt a changing business landscape
Ability to focus on the key issues and drive initiatives to conclusion
Strong relationship management skills
Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
