Zurich is currently looking for an Auto Claims Associate for our Atlanta, Georgia office. This is an entry level position that will handle first party and third party commercial auto property damage claims of low to moderate complexity according to Best Practices and within authority limits.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and No prior experience required in the Claims area


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the Customer Service area


  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and No prior experience required in the Claims area


  • Experience with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Analytical and organization skills

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment

  • Experience collaborating across work groups

  • 2 or more years of Insurance or claims work experience, or body shop experience

  • Strong desk organization skills and time management skills

Our Commercial Services team offers auto dealers competitive financing solutions for real estate, floor plan, buying/leasing equipment, working capital, and acquisition or mergers. Commercial Services also provides dealerships with access to an extensive array of commercial banking services through Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., including interest rate risk management, deposit and treasury management services, insurance services, merchant services, employee benefits, and wealth management. The Commercial Auto Underwriter partners with the Commercial Auto Relationship Manager to manage client credit relationships. This position is responsible for executing sound and consistent underwriting and account management of commercial loan risk while recognizing the need for a balanced commitment to loan, deposit and fee growth, relationship profitability, and customer retention and credit quality. * Underwriting large, complex commercial loans including floor plan, real estate, and acquisition financing. * Underwrites loans with aggregate credit exposure based upon experience level. * Compiles, analyzes, and documents loan data and credit risk, borrower and property information, and coordinates activity in support of credit approval process. * Investigates credit standards and determines credit worthiness of credits in an assigned portfolio, understands financial statements and reports for the specific area of business. * May perform research and analysis related to loan projects, such as industry studies and management reports. * May negotiate loan structures and terms. Duties Include: * Execution of underwriting and structuring of commercial credit to meet client needs, using credit analytics, capital formation expertise, and sound business judgment. * Partner with Sales Managers and Relationship Managers to achieve segment goals, communicate risk parameters for new potential deals, identify and cultivate selected prospects, and coordinate underwriting and closing procedures. * Partners with numerous groups across the Bank to provide the best client solution while balancing the risk to the bank. * Maintain feedback loop with customers, as well as sales partners, to monitor quality of customer service and internal partnerships. * Maintain regular contact with the largest and/or highest risk customers in the assigned portfolio. * Identify deteriorating credits quickly and develop action plans together with management and Relationship Managers. * Meet with customer/prospects to gather and analyze information and reach appropriate decisions regarding loan approval and structure. Required Qualifications * 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: underwriting, financial analysis or deal structuring in financial services, private banking, corporate/investment banking, or capital markets Desired Qualifications * Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy * Commercial loan experience * Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills * Ability to interact with all levels of an organization * A BS/BA degree or higher * 6+ years of commercial underwriting experience * 6+ years of commercial banking experience * Knowledge and understanding of underwriting or evaluating commercial credit * Knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, statements and accounting concepts * Knowledge and understanding of auto finance industry Job Expectations * Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Salary Information The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
