Commercial Accounts Associate Manager
Albany Molecular Research Inc. provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
This position is responsible for managing the successful manufacture and timely release of finished products. This includes managing of forecasting, scheduling, logistics, consignment, inventories, quotations, contracts and customer specific quality documentation. The individual must be able to effectively lead and assign work in a dynamic manufacturing setting. The individual functions as a combination customer advocate and site liaison between all functional departments. The individual is cross-trained in the various business and financial activities required for the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Primary Customer Contact which includes: customer calls, meetings, fill, packaging, production, release schedules to customer, and on-site representative for customer.
Responsible for Product Lifecycle from Forecast through Invoice Proofing which includes: forecast receipt and coordination of lot scheduling, logistics, ensure on time delivery (OTD) of API, customer consignment items and release of API for production, purchase order review, bulk allocations, OTD of batch and shipment of finished product and samples to customer.
ERP transactions which includes: order Entry, Ship Notes, Bill and Holds and Invoice Proofs
Ensures meeting minutes, agendas and preparation for customer visits are done in a timely fashion.
Follows up with the QA Product Specialist to ensure that incident reports are closed in a timely manner and acts as liaison between QA Product Specialist and the client
Consults and advises upper management of project status and reports issues that may affect ultimate results
Generate weekly/monthly reports, as required
Track customer document updates/changes, as required
Other tasks as assigned
This job may include supervisory responsibilities
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university is preferred (emphasis in a scientific related field or business). A minimum of 3 years directly applicable experience in the industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.Other Skills and Abilities:
Ability to perform independent work related to projects and/or routine activities.
Ability to be an author for protocols or reports, or other non-routine activities
Ability to review reports, etc. for accuracy and logic
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Ability to effectively lead or work on a team to accomplish goals
