This position assists management by providing oversight, direction and leadership to the commercial account services team to ensure exceptional and personalized relationship servicing, account management, and new account fulfillment to top tier commercial clients, while promoting and selling treasury management products and solutions to new and existing clients. This position works closely with Treasury Management Sales (Treasury Management Relationship Officers), Treasury Management Services (TMS) and Commercial Banking team members to drive deposit revenue and fee income for the Bank. Additionally, this position will train, coach, and mentor less experienced team members.
The successful candidate will be able to:
Provide daily oversight, guidance to CAS team members and is the lead expert and immediate escalation point for all CAS department functions and responsibilities.
Ensure department operational procedures are followed, regularly reviewed, current and accurate and satisfy internal controls and risk management.
Provide regular department performance and team member performance updates to the management team and may provide input to team member annual performance reviews.
Provide training and guidance to CAS team members on all department operational procedures, applicable bank systems and Top Tier client service objectives.
Assist management and provide input related to staff goal setting, coaching, delegation, and performance management.
Provide broad based administrative and sales support assistance to treasury management and commercial banking team members with prospective and existing clientele.
Attends and actively participates in prospect and client calls to further business development and sales efforts with a focus on achieving annual objectives for treasury management sales goals, fee income generation (Non-II), cross sales and referrals.
Partner with TM Sales to assess new account needs, structure accounts and billings, and prepares new account and treasury management services in accordance with know your customer standards and regulatory requirements, as needed.
Facilitate the transition of clients operating business (deposits/treasury management) from existing bank to Heritage Bank.
Ensures timely and accurate transition of services and client follow up, adhering to and meeting service level expectations.
Open new business accounts and prepares treasury management services implementation and online system user access documents, to include but not limited to: online banking, information reporting, wire transfer origination, ACH origination, ZBAs, sweeps, account assignments, remote deposit capture, positive pay, ACH blocks and filters, foreign transactions/documentary collections, and lockbox.
Act as single point of contact to top tier clients and works closely with appropriate departments and sales/lending officers to ensure all servicing needs, issues and/or concerns are resolved seamlessly in a timely and accurate manner.
Approve client deposits, transfers, wires, loan advances, etc., within assigned level of authority.
Attend sales and lending team meetings to provide new client and treasury management services updates.
Accurately prepares and delivers documents and agreements to clients, ensuring timely receipt and submission to TMS for implementation of services.
Provide assistance with the preparation of Request for Proposals (RFP's) and proposals for CAS clients, as requested.
Assist with the preparation of annual reviews for top tier CAS designated clients. May attend commercial client annual review meetings.
Assist with the preparation and monitoring of pipeline and closed sales tracking of top tier clients using approved sales tracking system/tools.
Maintain up to date knowledge of all treasury management products and services and ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Assist with updates and maintenance of the Treasury Management intranet site as needed, and works collaboratively with various departments (i.e. Marketing, Operations, Retail, Training, etc.) to create customer facing content, training materials, tutorials and FAQs in a web-friendly format and logical structure, as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Associates degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Sales, Finance or relevant discipline preferred.
5 years' recent professional experience in commercial new account processing, commercial treasury management services and commercial relationship sales/management, which includes a minimum of 1 or more years in a lead role, and strong working knowledge in bank operations and/or electronic banking - required.
Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) or working toward AAP (within 12 months of hire) required.
Equivalent financial product servicing with proven record, successfully managing account relationships, may be considered.

In-depth working knowledge of all deposit and treasury management products, services and programs, with the ability to assess customer needs and understand customer requirements, and translate into sales deliverables and/or referrals across a wide array of deposit and treasury management products and technologies.
Ability to provide training and guidance to customers as it relates to treasury management products, services and technologies.
Strong knowledge of service and sales principles and practices, with strong ability to cross-sell deposit and treasury management services and provide training and guidance to business customers.
Effective leadership skills to motivate and assist with the development of a high performance work team and monitor workflow and schedules.
Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, organizational, data review, analytical and time management skills, with the ability to accurately manage multiple assignments, goals and reporting requests, ensuring that priorities are set and commitments and deadlines are met with minimal direction and oversight.
Understands and thoroughly applies principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to assigned area; ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Unquestionable integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information required.
Strong functional and technical knowledge of existing and developing treasury management services, documentation and internet technologies.
Proficient PC experience using MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe), with the ability to adapt to, learn and support new products and technologies quickly.
Working knowledge and experience with electronic delivery products and services and associated technologies.
Travel required to bank locations and customer locations; valid drivers license, proof of insurance and access to reliable transportation.
Climate controlled office environment.
Work involves being able to concentrate on the matter at hand, under sometimes distracting work conditions and frequent employee and/or customer contacts and interruptions during the day.
Work requires regular attendance, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedule with willingness to work a flexible and/or rotating schedule and or extended hours, which may require assisting at other locations, as needed.
Work may involve the constant use of computer screens, reading of reports, and sitting throughout the day.
Ability to operate a computer keyboard, multi-line telephone, photocopier, scanner, facsimile, which often requires dexterity of hands and fingers with repetitive wrist and hand motion.
Typically sitting at a desk or table; intermittently standing, stooping, bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching to file materials.
Occasional lifting 5 15 lbs. (e.g., files, boxes).
