Job Summary
Responsible for working with Comcast Technology, Product, and Experience teams to integrate tools to help them develop software securely. You and your team will strive to integrate security into development teams' pipelines, so that developers at Comcast will product software that is secure from the initial stages of development.
The Sr. Engineer plays a lead role in providing services to software development teams to measure the security of their software as part of their development pipelines. You will assist in the research of commercial products that can effectively measure security and seamlessly fit into CI/CD pipelines. You will design and develops custom software to measure the effectiveness of teams at developing securely, as well as to provide additional services to improve the security posture of development teams.
The ideal candidate will have a background in software development, either in back-end or front-end development. The candidate must also be comfortable with presenting technical information, both written and verbal, to software development teams.
Job Description
Develops back-end software to collect and visualize information on how effective teams are at developing secure software
Operationalizes and supports commercial software to provide services to Comcast software teams that support secure development
Provides advanced technical support to teams needing help with secure code software products
Researches industry trends and products to help ensure the highest quality secure coding services are available to teams at Comcast
Required Skills
Expertise in software development, either back-end or front-end development
Proficiency in DevOps practices
Ability to present technical information, including designs and data
Independent thinking and the ability to solve problems with no immediate obvious solution
Qualifications
7+ years of software development experience in a modern programming language, such as Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, Ruby, Go, or others. Experience can be in one or multiple languages.
Background in one or more of the following: REST services, data analytics, or AI/ML.
Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Concourse, or others
Familiarity with cloud environments, such as AWS, Google Cloud, or others
Formal education in computer science or a similar field. Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent experience
Knowledge of Agile software development practices
