VectorCSP is looking for an experienced Combat Arms Specialist/Armorer to work in the Fort Walton Beach, FL area.
Provide maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, accountability, issuance control, and management of various weapons systems, weapons equipment, and ammunition that belong to STTS. Qualify and supervise members on weapon systems.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma
Air Force Combat Arms Apprentice Course
Prior combat arms experience
Perform in-depth equipment checks and provide detailed maintenance, repair, or declare equipment unserviceable.
Ensure weapons equipment program meets regulatory guidance concerning accountability, maintenance, environmental, control, and issuance.
Performs duties as the Unit Explosive Safety Officer. Develops and maintains the unit's explosive safety program, making changes to procedures as required.
Perform duties as a Control Area Monitor (CAM). Act as a single point of contact for dealing with controlled area issues.
Perform duties as a Munitions Custodian. Maintain auditable records and to maintain accountability for all munitions assets. Custodian will be trained on the Combat Ammunition System (CAS) in order to submit request for ammunition and report expenditures.
Perform duties as a Range Safety Officer (RSO) and RSO trainer. Responsible for overall safety on the range and enforces range safety regulations.
Responsible for ensuring all weapons equipment is in good working order and prepared for mission/training use.
Possess technical knowledge necessary to properly maintain an armory, conduct inventories, act as equipment custodian, and generate necessary reports mentioned below.
Ensures a semi-annual reconciliation of all weapon, attachments, and ammo are processed and confirm all discrepancies are resolved.
Creates computer inputs, maintains Master Custodian Authorization/Custody Receipt Listing (CA/CRL) Jacket Files and corrects errors identified on listings relating to equipment.
Assist the STTS Training and Standards/Evaluations Sections in the development and drafting of motorized training guidance, directives, and regulations for review and approval.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of weapon inspection procedures; serviceability, functions check, and pre-embarkation utilizing weapons specific gauges and tools.
Knowledge and experience to conduct maintenance and training on the following weapons and equipment:
M-9, Glock-19 Pistols
MK 17, MK 20 Rifles
M240, M249 Machine Guns
M-4, M-4A1, M-16 Carbines
M203, M320, MK 13, M19 Grenade Launchers
Carl Gustav Rocket Launcher
M2, M2A1, M107
Rifle and Pistol Suppressors and Silencers
Thermal, Reflex, and Night Vision Sighting devices
Be able to handle, store, and transport Air Force munitions. Minimum weight required to lift objects is 50 lbs.
