As a First Student Bus Driver, your major responsibilities will be to:

  • Safely transports passengers

  • Perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections

  • Assists students in the loading and unloading process

Requirements of a School Bus Driver:

  • Good verbal communication skills

  • At least 21 years old

  • Valid driver's license for at least 3 years

  • Be subject to a background check, drug screen & physical

This Maintenance Supervisor must be self-motivated, have the ability to remain calm during stressful times and to react quickly during times of emergencies. It is imperative that the successful candidate is able to make the appropriate decisions for the safety of the public and our employees. The future incumbent must have outstanding communication skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This position will perform the following work: * Supervise, schedule, budget, and direct highway maintenance for the assigned area. * Train and coach employees and ensure compliance with agency and area policy. * Develop the annual maintenance plan including fund availability and staffing requirements. * Responsible for the acquisition, security, and maintenance of equipment, tools, materials, and supplies. * Inspect highways for work needs and safety issues. * Conduct periodic safety training meetings to ensure safe work practice and compliance with regulations. * Prepare accurate and complete safety reports for personal injury and equipment damage. * Respond to emergency call outs 24/7. * Prepare and conduct effective performance evaluations for employees. * Communicate effectively with the public, other agencies, crew members, and border control. An ideal candidate for this position will have: * One year of experience as a Maintenance Lead Technician, Maintenance Technician 3, or equivalent experience. * A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A without air brakes restriction. * High School diploma or GED. * Department of Agriculture Pesticide/Herbicide license or obtain within 6 months of employment. * First aid certification or obtain within 6 months of employment. * Washington State Flagging card or obtain within 6 months of employment. * Strong commitment to personal and co-worker safety. * Experience with Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook, etc.). * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. * Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds. * Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and traverse steep and uneven terrain. * Valid driver's license.
