Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
The County Extension Program Assistant will perform duties necessary to assist the County Extension Agent in the day-to-day conducting of the Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) program in Columbia County. Duties will include answering phone calls and helping with ANR clients and programming.

Pack, move boxes, handle equipment, load and unload vehicles.
Driving as needed to perform job duties.

Duties/Responsibilities
This Program Assistant position will assist the Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) Agent in providing programming and advice for Columbia County Extension clients. The duties will include but are not limited to: insect identification, plant identification, weed identification, pest control recommendations according to the Georgia Pest Control Handbook, developing ANR stories for publication in area news papers and working with 4-H youth in Agricultural programs. Site visits and office visits will be a part of providing services to clientele in this position.
Percentage of time 80 Duties/Responsibilities
Cover front desk of Extension office during Administrative Assistant's lunch break.
