The Department of Surgery at Tufts Medical Center is seeking applications for a full-time academic Colorectal Surgeon to join our division of Colon # Rectal Surgery. Our Colon # Rectal Surgery division has a proud tradition of providing outstanding surgical care while maintaining a strong commitment to meeting the needs of our patients and their families.
This practice covers a broad base of clinical and academic activity across a variety of care settings. While our practice is primarily focused at our main Academic Medical Center, we have exciting expansion opportunities across our partner hospitals and outpatient clinics. Prospective applicants should be interested in building a colorectal practice that treats a broad spectrum of diseases including anorectal pathologies, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis, pelvic floor disorders and cancer.
Minimally invasive and robotic experience is preferred. The Department of Surgery has a competitive general surgical residency and is the principal teaching hospital of the Tufts University School of Medicine. In addition to their clinical practice, applicants will be expected to participate in the education of our residents and medical students.
Complementary clinical research interests and activities are desired. Applicants must be Board Eligible/ Board Certified by the American Board of Colon # Rectal Surgery. Academic appointment at the Tufts University School of Medicine will be commensurate with the candidate#s experience.
