Position Announcement: Colorado Online Support Specialist

Northeastern Junior College is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to serve as the Colorado Online Support Specialist. It is anticipated that NJC will deliver more than 100 Colorado Online courses annually, requiring extensive coordination between CCCS, instructors, and applicable NJC offices. This position supports the Dean of Liberal Arts and Sciences in the daily management Colorado Online.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be:

This position assists the Dean of Liberal Arts and Science with managing Colorado Online for NJC. This includes monitoring the assignment of Colorado Online courses to NJC and hiring appropriate instructors for those courses.

This position coordinates across NJC to load, review, and prepare course shells and materials for teaching. The Colorado Online Support Specialist assists instructors with accommodation requests, monitors the execution of the courses, and assists with Colorado Online reporting, among other key duties.

What We Require:

• Expertise in D2L/Brightspace systems

• Experience with online courses and methodologies

• Knowledge of creating media templates in D2L (e.g., modules, assignments, tests, ensuring accessibility of web sources, etc.)

• Detail-oriented and quality-minded for the accuracy of data and information

• Strong initiative to solve problems

• Valid Colorado Driver's License

What We Can Offer:

This is a part-time, hourly position located on the NJC campus in Sterling, CO, with an anticipated workload of approximately 20 hours per week, but may fluctuate during critical periods. Hourly pay is between $18.00 and $22.00 depending on qualifications and experience.

Position to begin as soon as a qualified candidate is identified. PERA retirement.
