Job Summary

Provides World Class Customer Service Experience to all Caliber customers on the phone, in person and throughout the entire repair process. Serves as the primary point of contact for the customer throughout the repair process from the point of drop-off through the delivery of the completed vehicle. Responsible for coordinating communications with all other (internal & external) stakeholders for the repair

Essential Job Duties

  • Estimate all drive-in appointments as well as "walk in" customers and complete repair plans

  • Complete process review with customer

  • Repair Orders: All files are opened with BAR (CA) and DRP compliance, including obtaining proper authorizations

  • Check in vehicle upon drop of with customer

  • Prepare and complete proper paperwork for final customer packet prior to vehicle delivery (DRP, final invoice)

  • Post repair plan documentation (Autowatch)

  • Provide post repair plan communication including all vehicle status updates

  • Total loss administration

  • Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring a world class customer service experience

  • Final QC, including test drive

  • Deliver vehicle to customer upon completion

  • Comply with all Caliber safety rules, guidelines and standards

  • Perform other related duties as assigned including, but not limited to washing cars, cleaning the shop, assisting other teammates, etc.


  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Ability to effectively communicate with others - verbal and written

  • Working estimating knowledge, including systems

  • Strong sales orientation

  • Organization and multi-tasking skills, good time management and the ability to adapt easily to fast-paced environment

  • Personable, friendly demeanor with "World Class" customer service approach

  • Well groomed, professional appearance

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

Position is based in a normal shop environment. Daily activity may consist of: physical activity such as reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping to inspect repairs, lifting and carrying objects over 50 pounds as well as sitting and standing for extended periods of time during the estimating and disassembly process. The working environment consists of; exposure to fumes, chemicals and dust, along with high levels of noise and subjectivity to weather conditions both inside and outside. In addition, a regular exposure to work near mechanical parts. Caliber emphasizes a mandatory requirement to wear protective equipment when necessary. Visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned is a must

VIEW JOBS 10/6/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-01-04T00:00 <p><strong>Senior Cost Estimator</strong></p><p>Summary:</p><ul><li>Receive and process RFQ's into quotations for a variety of manufactured metal products, predominately BIW</li><li>Submit quotation breakdowns and quote letters to Manager for review.</li></ul><p>Primary Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Log all Customer RFQ's and associated documentation</li><li>Manage and track quote log open / close progress</li><li>Complete cost sheets (internal and external)</li><li>Preparing drafts of quotes to submit to customers</li><li>Complete RFQ's for Tool Shops and other Outside Vendors</li><li>Review supplier quotes and make recommendations based on response</li><li>Coordinate quote reviews with Manager for business sign-off</li><li>Complete CAD overlays and print reviews as needed</li><li>Assemble new part BOM's for assemblies</li><li>Assist Engineering Manager in the scheduling of cross-functional Team Feasibility reviews</li></ul><p>Candidate Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Must have 5-15 ears of experience cost estimating in automotive metal stamping manufacturing with larger product lines BIW</li><li>Experience responding to RFQs</li><li>Strong working experience calculating cost estimations and quotations of stampings and automotive welded assemblies.&nbsp;</li><li>Will have strong background in method planning. </li><li>Must have background in Assembly Process and Stamping Dies</li><li>Ideally will have Tool and Die Maker experience. </li><li>Must have 3D CAD Solid Modeling experience - stamping die design</li><li>Strong MS Excel</li><li>Experience in Tool &amp; Die, manufacturing, and engineering</li><li>Ability to write reports and business correspondence.</li><li>Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.</li><li>Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.</li><li>Knowledge of TS 16949 and the automotive industry is desirable.</li><li>Must demonstrate excellent organization and communication skills.</li><li>Must be able to work effectively without daily direct supervision.
