Working under the general direction of an administrator or faculty member, use independent judgment to perform a variety of complex administrative office duties. Primary responsibilities will include:

Support of student services including serving as a contact point and assisting the office of student academic affairs, and maintaining the student services webpage.

Enhancement of the college's outreach and philanthropic efforts through support of the alumni board and the Pharmacy Forward steering committee.

Develop and host college alumni events.

Serve as a liaison between the college and Corporate and Professional Services for the development and offering of continuing professional education programming.

Support the College's continuing education committee and assist in program development with co-sponsoring organizations.

Work with other members of the clerical and administrative staff to coordinate the above activities with other college activities.

Serve as the Safety Officer for the Hagerman Pharmacy Building.

Provide support to the Dean's Office, Pharmaceutical Sciences Department and Pharmacy Practice Department as needed in the event of clerical or administrative staff absences.

Serve as the initial contact for all College of Pharmacy inquiries.

Act as a team member in support and advancement of College of Pharmacy students, faculty and administrators. Position Type:

Staff Required Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.

The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

Equivalency for education is two years of full-time related work experience equals one year of education. Required Work Experience: Four years' experience in office setting that includes high-level customer service.

Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Office suite, Adobe, and other word-processing, LMS, and visual graphics platforms. Demonstrate sustained accomplishments in event coordination, independent decision making, and policy and procedure implementation.

Two years part-time is equivalent to one year full-time. Required Licenses and Certifications: Physical Demands:

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Familiarity with university/college academic standards.

Higher education work experience.

Support of student services; triage of students in need of support.

Proficiency with such computer programs as Banner, Navigate, TimeClock Plus, and Concur. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Under general direction may provide guidance to students relating to academic curricula and academic status; serve as planning coordinator for continuing education programs; assist in college wide assessment activities, etc. Work may involve a variety of duties such as evaluation of transcripts, continuing education sponsorships, logistical preparation of events, preparation of speaker contracts, etc.

Serve as liaison between customers, students and potential students, registered student organizations (RSO's) and professional groups.

Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Prepare, or assist with the preparation, of special projects and reports.

Assist in the maintenance of the College's website pages.

Coordinate work flow within assigned area; serve as 'lead worker' with recognized expertise in specialized area.

Regularly deal with sensitive and confidential matters. Including assisting in situations involving sensitive issues or decision making otherwise handled by supervisor.

Participate in the planning and execution of recruitment activities.

Coordinate and/or support continuing education programs and/or admissions or student affairs programs, such as the White Coat ceremony, Doctoral Hooding and Graduation ceremony, continuing education programs, and receptions for faculty, students and alumni.

Maintain current knowledge of pertinent regulations, compliance issues, and university policies applicable to specific area of assignment. Independently answer inquiries from a variety of internal and external sources.

Work directly with students to provide support services and resources.

Hiring and supervision of student employees.

Maintaining the confidentiality of designated information following FERPA, HIPAA, and other applicable standards.

Support a culture of civility and professionalism.

Support, promote, and develop University student enrollment and retention initiatives.

Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
