ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time administrative position of College Inclusion and Recruitment Specialist.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this full-time administrative position relates directly to initiatives that promote positive relations and practices for an inclusive environment. The administrator will maintain specific knowledge about diversity and equity best practices and collaborate with other professionals when to promote an inclusive environment. This position will build and maintain both internal and external partnerships, through a highly visible role, that champions Southwestern Illinois College Mission and Core Values through active engagement with a diversity and equity focus. This position will assist with basic administrative functions within department event planning. College Inclusion & Recruitment Specialist will support recruitment and retention efforts at SWIC to incoming and current students. College Inclusion & Recruitment Specialist will report directly to the College Inclusion Outreach Coordinator. The College Inclusion & Recruitment Specialist may be assigned to locations within the district dependent upon needs of serving the District.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline is required. Master's degree is preferred.
One-year of related work experience is required. Work experience in higher education and public speaking is preferred.
PeopleSoft experience preferred.
Ability to lift heavy (50 lbs) boxes including display materials.
A valid driver's license is required.
Must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to hire.
STARTING PAY AND HOURS
Grade 1 on the Administrative Salary Scale, ranging from $33,750 to $40,500 per year.
