Overview

Collections/Credit Specialist

The Collections/Credit Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Collections team with all assigned districts. The Collections/Credit Specialist will also be responsible for each account that needs special handling for customer satisfaction, which may include account research and customer requests. He or she must be a team player who is able to work any shift between 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work independently with daily tasks, and be able to set priorities

  • Assist with special requests for both internal and external customers.

  • Contact customers as needed in an effort to resolve account issues.

  • Display critical thinking skills with the ability to "think outside the box"

  • Document activity and maintain follow up on all accounts

  • Respond to customer AR calls with regards to account inquiries

  • Must have knowledge of collections and ability to work in a fast paced environment.

  • Provide documentation to customers requesting invoices, statements, etc.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, etc.)

  • Have a working knowledge of FDCPA and GLB Privacy Act.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques (including skip tracing)

  • Must be comfortable working with set goals and KPIs

  • Must have excellent communication skills

  • Must display excellent problem solving skills

  • Ability to produce results in a fast paced and challenging environment

VIEW JOBS 12/8/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-08T00:00 Overview Sales & Use Tax Accountant Purpose of Position The Sales and Use Tax Accountant is responsible for the administration and maintenance of customer sales tax exemption certificates to achieve multi-state sales tax compliance. Additional responsibilities include the preparation and filing of business tax registrations and business franchise tax returns. Participates in the research of sales and use tax issues and supports the use tax reporting process. Other General Accounting tasks will be assigned as needed by Accounting Manager or Director of Financial Operations. Responsibilities Primary or Key Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: * Responsible for maintaining customer sales tax exemption certificates to ensure multi-state sales tax compliance. * Communicate with customers to obtain valid sales tax exemption certificates and ensure exemption forms are complete, current and compliant with state tax regulations. * Review and maintain billing systems to ensure the customer's tax exemption status is accurate. * Calculate and post customers' sales tax adjustments for accurate correction of state and local sales taxes charged on customer invoice billing. * Track, monitor and respond to sales & use tax notifications from the states, including taking action on state tax notices, business license renewals and other state tax communications. * Responsible to complete and file business registrations and business gross receipts tax returns. * Assist to provide key support on state Sales & Use tax audits. * Oversee the monthly review and journal entry posting of acquisition revenue and billing information. * Ensure compliance with all state and local tax regulations regarding sales and use tax. * Respond to state tax notices, business license renewals and other state tax communications. Competencies * Strong working knowledge of multi-state sales and use tax regulations. * Able to work independently. * Possess strong attention to detail, complete work accurately and is highly organized. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. Education Degree/Diploma Obtained Program of Study Required/Preferred High School Diploma or GED Bachelor's degree Finance or related field. Working Conditions This is a full-time position. The Accountant will report to an office. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
