Position Overview

The Collections Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient management of Aveanna Collections department. This individual supervises the activities of the Collections Specialist.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage and resolve escalated payer issues as needed

  • Supervise, train, coach and develop Collections team; hold weekly account review meetings with each team member

  • Conduct QA on Collections tasks

  • Work with team to resolve denial issues, non-payment of invoices, and portfolios

  • Perform month end reconciliation; assisting other departments as needed

  • Support the Aveanna mission and culture by demonstrating our core values; compassion, team integrity, accountability, trust, innovation compliance and fun.

  • Adhere to the Aveanna Compliance Program, including following all regulatory, Aveanna and accrediting agency policy requirements.

  • Maintain the skills and qualifications necessary to provide or support quality care, including attendance at company-wide educational programs.

  • Responsible for submitting accurate time and attendance records and following proper procedures for reporting and making corrections to attendance records.

  • Responsible for harmonious interactions with coworkers and customers, including patients, medical office staff, vendors and the general public.

  • Associates degree in healthcare or related field; Bachelors preferred

  • 3-5 years' experience in related field; healthcare, medical office, customer service preferred

  • 1-3 years' experience leading a team

  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products including Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Strong math and accounting skills; critical thinking and problem solving skills required

  • Must possess a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; strong presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to manage in a high call volume environment with accuracy and efficiency

  • Proven ability to work independently at times and within a team

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to interact in a collaborative manner with other departments and teams

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English

  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of 25 pounds

  • Walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting

  • Prolonged sitting

  • Must have visual and hearing acuity


  • Performs duties in an office environment during agency operating hours

  • Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions

VIEW JOBS 8/24/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-11-22T00:00 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Supervises daily operation of the Collection unit, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures and all applicable government, investor and client regulations * Manage and maintain daily operations of the Dialer campaigns * Performs collection activity on accounts when subordinates have difficulty collecting. * Reviews the department's collection activity, identifying trends and assessing unit effectiveness * Receives and resolves customer complaints * Performs duties related to staff development such as performance evaluations, disciplining employees, and training * Reviews and recommends foreclosure to the Default Management committee * Compiles data and generates ad-hoc reporting for Manager * Provides monthly summary to Manager on departmental performance objectives * Ensures that 10 calls per month are evaluated for each Loan Counselor in the department * All other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Associates Degree or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions * Three years collection experience in a mortgage servicing environment * Knowledge of Federal, State and local regulations concerning debt collection regulations * Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience, managing a team in a high volume, fast paced environment * Knowledge of loss mitigation mortgage workouts (i.e. loan modifications, short sale, deed in lieu and foreclosure) * Working knowledge of contact center database applications * Experience with Ensemble Pro dialer administration * Experience utilizing DataViews for reporting * Knowledgeable in scheduling and volume forecasting * High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong team player with a high level of professionalism and initiative * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment where priorities change frequently to meet business needs * Strong negotiation skills * Strong analytical and problem solving ability * Ability to organize, prioritize and allocate workload for optimum efficiency * Solves problems with a sense of urgency by recognizing opportunities, understanding risks and acting quickly to overcome obstacles and reach a solution * Ability to resolve conflict appropriately and effectively resolve problems Servicelink, A Black Knight Company Chandler AZ
