LCATION: Plymouth

Insure the collection process is maintained on loans in default to recover monies and reduce potential loss. Maintain regular contact with delinquent borrowers and seek mutually agreeable solutions for each default. Responsible for maintaining work cards for each account. Monitors, analyzes and investigates negative activity in member's checking accounts and works with member to resolve account issues.


  • Contact borrowers in default by telephone to arrange a payment plan. Create customized letters and send at required intervals to members in default.

  • Skip trace delinquent borrowers and their assets when necessary using various methods and resources.

  • Review and investigate reports that indicate negative activity in members' checking accounts, and initiate appropriate corrective actions.

  • Monitor and maintain consumer loan accounts and/or overdraft protection (ODP) accounts, closing accounts where necessary.

  • Resolve Collateral Protection Insurance on accounts by working with member, insurance agents and vendors.

  • Responsible for solving title/lien problems on member's accounts by working with members, the Driver and Vehicle Division in the state where the vehicle is to be titled and other creditors or lien holders.

  • Prepare collateralized loan accounts for Senior Account Control Officer to begin the repossession process.

  • Process and offset monies to make delinquent payments on member, attorney, agency and bankruptcy accounts.

  • Responsible for reviewing requests by members for extensions, rewrites and consolidating debt to determine the appropriate work out plan for the member.

  • Work with Debt Management Companies granting approvals, raising/lowering interest rates, tracking records and fair share expenses.

  • Responsible for handling deceased accounts that have loans. Work with attorneys and courts to file claims against estate for recovery of assets if necessary.

  • Maintain all Loss Prevention information on TruStone's computer systems.

  • Prepare monthly reports, check for accuracy and submit for review.

  • Process monthly charged off loans on the system.

  • Enforce "Denial of Services" on accounts causing losses. Revoke limits, services, and close accounts.

  • Two years of customer service experience.

  • Satisfactory completion of pre-employment screening.

  • Prior collections experience, preferred.

HOURS: 40 hours Monday through Friday, 9:30am to 6:00pm; Non-Exempt

The role is focused on promoting timely collection activities to reduce customer past dues and to increase company cash flows for an assigned group of customers.</p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
