Robert Half Finance and Accounting is looking for a Collections Specialist in the Honolulu area. Essential Functions Weekly and monthly reporting to direct supervisor Monthly Delinquency notices Processing monthly credit memos and the appropriate reporting High volume phone calls to assigned delinquent customers Manage customers on the shutdown report Reconcile customer disputes as they pertain to payment of outstanding balances that are due Provide excellent considerate customer service to dealers and sales Internal and External customer interface Participate in team planning meetings Meet defined department goals and activity metrics

Requirements
Required Skills 3-5 years High Volume corporate Collections experience. Knowledge of Billing and Collections procedures Accounts Receivable knowledge/experience a plus Strong attention to detail, goal oriented Experience with QuickBooks a plus Commitment to excellent customer service Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities Credit

Responsible for the collection function, which includes ensuring that regulatory requirements are followed; best collection practices are consistently exercised, and provide timely processing and reporting of delinquent First Hawaiian Bank loan products. In addition, supervise and develop the staff to promote an effective and efficient approach to risk based collecting. Qualifications * Bachelors Degree and/or equivalent experience required * 2-3 years collections or supervisory experience required * Prior supervision and/or collection experience preferred * Prior data analytic experience highly desirable. * MS Windows proficient (MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook). * Must be articulate, self-motivated and able to interact with and supervise a diverse group of individuals. * Excellent oral and written communication skills, problem solving and negotiating skills are required in order to make critical decisions with minimal supervision. * Must possess excellent telephone etiquette skills. * Good time management skills. * Able to plan, organize and budget. * Able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines. * Able to handle confidential matters judiciously.
