Collections Specialist
Oversee a portfolio of key accounts ranging from $6 to $20 million, dependent on portfolio composition.
Communicate with clients who have past due balances to secure payments, payment commitments, and follow up on payment promises.
Achieve or surpass targeted cash collections metrics, aiming to reduce past due amounts, minimize bad debt exposure, and meet other quantitative objectives.
Take responsibility for reporting disputed or short-paid invoices, identifying root causes, and collaborating with internal departments to expedite resolution/payment.
Promptly escalate significant collection issues to management that may require special attention or additional support.
Requirements:
Possess at least 2 years of collections experience in business-to-business (B2B) collections, with a focus on customer service and retention.
Hold a degree in finance, commerce, business administration, or a related field, coupled with relevant work experience.
Preferably have experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP accounting applications.
Demonstrate proficiency in Excel, particularly with VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
Familiarity with PCI (Payment Card Industry) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance standards within a collections environment is advantageous.
Experience in the healthcare or medical manufacturing sector is advantageous.
