The Collections Specialist will work in Collections handling the following responsibilities:

  • Analyze outstanding receivable balances.

  • Pursue collections.

  • Apply daily cash receipts in the Great Plains system and or Computron.

  • Research & resolve unapplied/unidentified cash payments.

  • Process NOC/NOR and Reinstatements.

  • Respond to various requests from brokers, underwriters and management.

  • Provide backup support for colleagues as needed.

  • Perform special projects as requested.

  • Complete various reconciliations.

  • Perform monthly settlements.

  • Generate required management receivable reports on a timely and accurate basis.


  • Business and/or Accounting Degree.

  • 5-7 years of experience.

  • Team Player

  • Proficient in Excel.

  • Experience with Great Plains is preferred.

  • Strong Analytical Skills.

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to identify and suggest ways to improve existing processes.

  • Must be proactive in resolving problems.

  • Must be able to quickly identify problems and report these problems on a timely basis

Within Securities Services, and among the business units and professionals supporting clients globally, is the Custody Settlements and Cash Operations team of BNP Paribas NY Branch (Bank/Global Custodian business). Our team supports client's post-trade processes including: trade and global CCY cash settlement along with foreign exchange, mutual fund and physical certificate management. This role is based in the Chesterbrook, PA office and is part of a dual-office structure with peers located in the Portugal offices of Securities Services. The team manages the daily flow of financial transactions, settlement and reporting between the client and the local market agent or international/central securities depositories. While the team's volumes and daily activity is weighted towards the US market (DTC/NSCC, Fed), our coverage includes the fast-growing global custody offering that is supported across regions. Key responsibilities: * Lead the operations team dedicated to cash and securities settlement functions: ensure that all cash, foreign exchanges and international settlement transactions are processed within cutoff times, in accordance with internal procedures and client service level agreement (SLA) * Act as first line of defense with the supervision and reporting of key risks and controls within team BAU processes in line with RCSA guidelines, first escalation level on risk items, incidents and timely annual procedure update * Participate in the system set up and maintenance in relation with new client needs or new product implementation in close cooperation with the Technology teams * Seek opportunities to optimize structure, improve processing capabilities and adapt to growing activity and clients demands: drive change and implement effective and efficient operations management policies and processes that are consistent with best practices globally. * Maintain working knowledge, provide thought leadership and disseminate new processes, regulations, clients' needs and expectations as required by the evolution of the custody platform and/or market rules. * Develop talent and plan team capacity to ensure appropriate response to operational needs; maintain a succession plan for the team while eliminating dependency on people with key skills. * Represent Settlements and Cash Operations in internal meetings and clients presentations, RFPs, DDVs and Service Reviews to promote GC activities in the US * Partner with Client Development teams to periodically assist in reviewing SLAs and service fee arrangements for existing and new clients * Fully adhere to BNP Paribas Compliance, Financial Security (Know Your Customer "KYC", Anti-Money Laundering "AML", Anti-Bribery and Corruption "ABC" and Sanctions), Conduct & Risks This role is located in Chesterbrook PA and will have a hybrid office schedule BNP Paribas is a leading bank in Europe with an international reach across the US, EMEA and APAC.
