Job Description Summary:

The Collection Specialist is responsible for assisting with safeguarding the assets of Airgas's North Division by maintaining a healthy accounts receivable position for all accounts assigned. The Collection Specialist reviews and researches account issues to assure that proper steps are taken each day to protect Airgas's interests in receivables assets and to further reduce the risk of bad debt write off.

Required Qualifications

1+ Years experience required
To be successful, the Collections Specialist should have an understanding of general accounting matters and SAP.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
Proficient in Microsoft Excel as well as a demonstrated ability to utilize Google applications
SAP experience preferred.
Exhibits customer focused behavior such as building positive relationships and strives to understand customer's needs, both internal and external.
Ability to deal with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner.
Excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills with the ability to make independent decisions based on investigation and judgment as well as ability to discern when to escalate issues.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and juggle between divisional, local and Corporate management and demands.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with others in both favorable and unfavorable situations regardless of status of position. Accepts cultural diversity and establishes effective working relationships.

The Ambulance Billing Specialist maintains feedback loop communications between the SLETS Management Team, Training and Education Team and Quality Assurance Team. The Ambulance Billing Specialist is responsible for accurate and timely preparation of accounts for submission to third-party carriers, intermediaries, and guarantors in accordance with SLETS, SLUHN, and CMS policy and Billing regulations. The Ambulance Billing Specialist is responsible for posting of payments.
