This short term temporary-to-fulltime Collections Specialist position is available in the Phoenix, Arizona area. Your responsibilities

  • Act as liaison in maintaining quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries

  • Catalog all customer payments to the correct reports

  • Ensure the processing of payments

  • Yield to all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations

  • Maintain and update customer files to ensure data integrity

  • Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment

  • Ensure bankruptcy filings are processed in the correct manner when received

  • Administer all billing and reporting activities in response to deadlines

  • Control inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence

Requirements

  • Commercial collections experience desired

  • Microsoft Excel experience

  • Soft-pay collections experience

  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred

  • 2-3 years of prior high volume collections experience

  • Be able to effectively analyze and make decisions on customer accounts

  • Earlier experience working with various types of accounting software desired

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
