JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:
Attempts contact or location of customers with delinquent accounts to secure payments or arrangement based on our approved processes and procedures guideline.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Confers with customer by telephone in attempt to determine reason for overdue payment, reviewing terms of credit contract with customer
Decides appropriate options to offer clients in late stages of delinquency
Processes Repossessions, Foreclosures and charge offs
Negotiates settlements where we are taking less than the balance owed to clear up the debt.
Records information in system of record about financial status of customer and status of collection efforts
Adhere to our quality standards outlined in our call ladder
Offers Due Date Changes and extensions of credit
Accurately completes special assignments with little or no supervision
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two years internal collection experience
Internal candidates exceed metrics expectations, including Quality Scores
MINIMUM REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Demonstrates the ability to organize and use time effectively, prioritizes work flow and meets deadlines
ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
Ability to operate a keyboard if required to perform the essential job functions
Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions
Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions
Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
