JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:

Attempts contact or location of customers with delinquent accounts to secure payments or arrangement based on our approved processes and procedures guideline.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Confers with customer by telephone in attempt to determine reason for overdue payment, reviewing terms of credit contract with customer

  • Decides appropriate options to offer clients in late stages of delinquency

  • Processes Repossessions, Foreclosures and charge offs

  • Negotiates settlements where we are taking less than the balance owed to clear up the debt.

  • Records information in system of record about financial status of customer and status of collection efforts

  • Adhere to our quality standards outlined in our call ladder

  • Offers Due Date Changes and extensions of credit

  • Accurately completes special assignments with little or no supervision

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of two years internal collection experience

  • Internal candidates exceed metrics expectations, including Quality Scores

MINIMUM REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

Demonstrates the ability to organize and use time effectively, prioritizes work flow and meets deadlines

ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines

  • Ability to operate a keyboard if required to perform the essential job functions

  • Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions

  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions

  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
