Job Description and Requirements
The Bankruptcy Analyst is responsible for ensuring the bankruptcy process is monitored and associated tasks are completed accurately and timely throughout the filing process. The Analyst will perform activities related to bankrupt accounts including but not limited to processing new notices, discharges, Proofs of Claim, Notices of Payment Change, preparing reaffirmation agreements, perform reconciliations, and case closures in a shared service environment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Work with outside counsel to investigate and decide on appropriate courses of action
Make decisions on bankrupt accounts based on numerous variables
Ensure proper calculation of pre and post petition amounts due
Prepare, send and follow up on reaffirmation agreements
Perform periodic audits of customer charges and payments
Daily maintenance on bankrupt loans in the various system platforms
Remain current with bankruptcy laws
Reconcile trustee checks

Requirements:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
1-3 years job-related work experience
Detailed comprehension of bankruptcy process
General knowledge of collection and bankruptcy laws
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, outside counsel, and members
