Perform accurate and timely collection activities on a high volume of accounts. Develop strategies and negotiate payments in a way that balances collection with customer retention.


  • Complete outbound/inbound collection efforts on past due customer accounts.

  • On a daily basis, monitor and manage assigned accounts to maintain balances within established aging guidelines.

  • Arrange for payment and establish payment plans. Follow up on payment promises, updates and other pertinent collection action in a timely manner.

  • Determine customer collectability and make recommendation for bad debt write-off, legal action or turn over to third party collection agency.

  • Regularly communicate with business consultants in assigned territory. Keep them up to date on any changes in account status, or other pertinent account information.

  • Assess risk of accounts past due or over their credit limit and put accounts on hold or release orders accordingly.

  • Ability to develop strategy while engaging effective tactics for consistent results.

  • Maintain all account and customer detail information accurately in our database, including status updates, contact attempts and other specific information that is pertinent.

  • Develops and maintains an excellent working relationship with members of team, within and outside the department, to ensure we exceed the customer's expectations with the objective of exceeding the goals and vision of the company.

  • Provide backup to other Finance Shared Services associates and specific tasks performed by each.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate detailed information in a clear, easy to understand manner.

  • High level of proficiency in working with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Display strong analytical, organizational, time-management, and problem solving skills.

  • Willingness and ability to work in fast paced environment with multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Demonstrated conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

  • Exercise sound judgement within prescribed guidelines.

  • Works under limited supervision and has above average attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.

Supporting Activities * Experience providing cradle-to-grave procurement administration including planning and issuing RFP/RFQs, evaluating quotes/proposals, writing price/cost analyses, negotiation, and ensuring compliant documentation. * Receive and review all customer requests for proposals and information ensuring coordination with the program/proposal team. Participate in the proposal process as Contracts lead. * Review and/or draft proposed contract terms & conditions, identifying contractual and business risks, and negotiate in accordance with corporate policy. * Responsible for overall contract compliance of assigned tasks in accordance with contract requirements, company policies and procedures, and applicable laws. * Candidate must be able to work independently as well as part of a team of contract professionals supporting proposal preparation and a portfolio of contracts and subcontracts. * Create strong templates and processes for key contract areas where required and be able to maintain standard work * Provide advice to internal customers on contract matters, including identification and mitigation of contract and business risk, as well as provide training in contract practices and procedures. * Ensure proper internal flow down of contractual obligations and requirements Required Prior Accomplishments - Experience - Skills Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Finance and three to five years' experience in Sourcing or Procurement related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Possess and demonstrate a full working knowledge of contract negotiations and contract management. Makes decisions without delay despite ambiguous information, absence of clear direction or lack of consensus. Prioritizes workload independently based on department priorities and goals. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Ability to speak and write clearly, concisely and directly Experience with Non-Disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements.
